****, my Champions League group this year is a bitch. Juve, Marseille, and some team from Israel. The Israeli team shouldn't be that bad, but Juve and Marseille are tough. I'm lucky Atletico Madrid wasn't the 4 seed in my group.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
One of my two wonderkids just demanded a transfer because he thought he couldn't match his potential at a club like Fulham (I'm lying in 2nd place in the Prem at the moment, with my only 2 losses coming to Arsenal and ManUtd). I respond by saying that he will stay so that Fulham can match his ambitions. He then says he is sticking by his guns and then asked to be transfer listed. I had to oblige becuase I don't want the squad harmony to be disrupted. Why? Is 2nd not good enough for Serdal? I put a $35million asking price on him, hoping to keep him happy by having him on the transfer list, but not trying to give him away for scratch. This ruins my plans for the future. Hopefully he'll get over it after we (hopefully) qualify for Europe for the first time under Ray Hudson.
Here's a screenie of him...

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Well my career as Bob Bradley's replacement for Team USA has comenced, starting in Jan 2008. Can I run a professional club as well, or have to wait for offers? It is definitely intense and very detailed all you can do, figured running national team would allow me to figure it all out without a barrage of matches. Plus as the USA national coach if I dont do to good, it would be no different than real life??I am going to stick a limb out and start the youth movement now, with a few dependable veterans(like donovan). Wish me luck, will give updates on my World Cup 2010 run, if I even make it that far??

I don't know if you guys have checked this guy out before, but you may want to. His goal return for me over the last handful of games has been fantastic, considering Vagner Love (my other ST) and my midfield score the vast majority of my goals.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I've never had more than 50 points in the league before, nor have I finished in the top half of the table. This is amazing. I never would have guessed this, considering I told the board at the beginning of the season that I'd only reach a respectable league position (midtable I'd assume). I guess my players have blended well and tactic is finally working.

Can someone enlighten me as to what Alejandro is trying to tell me here? He's sending me mixed signals and I have no idea what to do with him to remedy it. It seems as though he is enthusiastic about his sketchy future at the club.
