Tomas - I've run into this problem as well when taking over at a team that had a player listed by request. I couldn't figure out how to fix it.

I just had a thought, though. Did you try looking at the player interaction screen?

      It's over.

I've failed the challenge. I would continue the game and try to make it back up, but with the lingering financial and squad confidence issues I think it would be too much of a challenge.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. We should find more of these types of challenges to do.

Good thought, but it's just the normal stuff (discipline player with no options, the normal "interact with player" stuff, and "set nickname"). This is quite frustrating, as he's bagging goals left and right for me and I would hate to see him leave...

I always thought that it ment he no longer wanted to be on your team. Like for example, I think this is the same as the guys that didn't want to come to "lowly Birmingham", except they were in contract when Birmingham became "lowly" to them, so they are intent on leaving at the end of their contract.

Hope that made sense, I never could find out how to stop them, played a huge hand in the Crystal Palace debacle for me.

          Sounds like a tough loss.

If that were the case, why would Chucho want to stick around for another 1.5 years to wait to leave on a Bosman? Wouldn't he want to be transferred away from the club immediately, to the point where his "happiness" should not read "doesn't want to leave the club"? I think he wants to stay at the club now, even though he wanted away 6-7 months ago, and there is no remedy for this issue in the game. ****ing a.

Sorry, I didn't see the screen what said he doesn't want to leave. The only thing I can think of is try again right before his contract runs out.

              Getting promoted can't hurt either.

EDIT: He still on the transfer list? If so, take him off, so maybe his future at the club doesn't "remain in the balance"? Sorry if I missed something, just throwing it out there.

Sox, you guys just doing these challenges now? I decided to go with what I did in in FM2009; start with Sounders and see how it goes, just finished year two. Took Sounders to playoffs back to back, only to get upset both years. 2009 champion was New England over Houston. 2010 - looked like Chicago and us were destined to meet in finals with dominating campaigns, both qualifying for playoffs with more than 8 games to go in regular season. No Dice, Houston Won. Montero won Golden Boot with 27 goals!! I beat NY 8-1 in one match where Montero had 6 goals!!! was crazy. Anyways, I was able to get Ivory coast job right before world cup; lost in group-freaking Drogba gets hurt right before WC, and then I just quit job. haha. Had Tottenham offer me a job, but I declined, I want that MLS Cup first!! New laptop has made experience 100 times better, game is smooth as silk, and fast as hell. If you guys want to get on Hamachi again, just to talk about game and real word futbol, let me know.

I "found" a solution to the Chucho situation. This just popped up after it was announced that I'd play Burnley in the CCC Semi-Final.

Finished my season at Bolton. Came in at 11th. Almost made it to 10th, but a rough schedule in the last few games made that impossible.

Also made it to the Quarter Finals of the FA cup

I believe that brings my total to 11 points.

Had a fun time, I will definitely be sticking with this save and updating as I go. Next up- Friendly against Sweeden and then the World Cup.

My first player-swap/exchange in any FM! Why did Charlton ever accept this? I understand Emmanuel-Thomas is a pretty good athletic talent, but c'mon! Shelvey, for a Championship squad (which Charlton is), is a dynamite technical player who could lead a team to promotion.

Started a New Game with Liverpool. Been awhile since I've done one with them.

Just got our Champions League Draw, which I'm happy with:

And I grabbed Manager of the Month for August. First Time I've done that in FM 2010.

And a Win Over Everton to make it 4 straight in the Premiership:

So, I assume that everyone who is going to try the Christmas challenge has already completed it.

I would have to say that Bruins edges out whitesox for the win. Sox took Bolton all the way up to 11th on 47 points - very impressive. Bruins took Wolves up to 40 points, but the FA Cup win is just epic. Well done to the both of you.
