Well, I landed at Vannes OC, in France. They were relegated from Ligue 2 to the Championnat de France National. (France's third division)

Looking forward to my second chance.

Hope it goes well for you.

Jovetic scored again. 4 goals so far since he joined me. He's fit in very well.

Good luck with that. Your players are going to be terrible.

The good news is that since the team got relegated, you should be the favorites for promotion.

Not even. Board expects a "respectable position".

Made a few purchases, LOTS of players left the club after their contracts ran out, nothing I could do to keep a lot of them. In fact, I only had 17 senior squad players for my first friendly.

Since one of my goals with this save is to better grasp tactics as a whole, I spent a good while brainstorming formations and positions. I came up with a 4-4-1-1, using the attacking midfielder as an advanced playmaker, and the lone striker as a target man. Hopefully it works as tactics have not been my strong suit so far.

My last update for the night before I head off to bed. Playing all the tough teams early in the league helps because this is what you can do to continue cruising:

              Demolition of Deportivo:

Zlatan has 27 goals in 25 league games and takes an 8 goal lead over Messi in the race for the Pichichi. Messi, however, has 19 goals and 17 assists....simply brilliant

We seem to be doing well, taking 7 out of 9 points so far to start the season, including a huge away win at one of the top clubs, who finished 5th last year. We certainly look better than everyone thought we were.

I'm not sure how I feel about winning promotion this year, as I lost a lot of former players in the offseason, and I'm not sure how we would stack up in the Ligue 2. I almost wouldn't mind missing promotion and then taking Ligue 2 by storm.

Either way, this team seems to have clicked with me, and I'm really enjoying playing as them.

Oh, and I'm still taking some pretty bad injuries. Once someone comes back it seems another is out the next game.

                Here's our third game:

Exactly what I'm looking for from my lone striker and target man, Hugo Bargas.

You might be able to do well in Ligue 2 based on free transfers alone, since there are a lot of players out of contract who are well above the lower league levels but will sign because they are either aging or just want to play football. When i was managing Paris FC I signed Ernesto Farias who was a beast for me. Signed on a free transfer and scored a ton of goals. 16 in finishing and heading. If he's not signed to a team you should check him out as he comes cheaply.

While that may be true, I would definitely be afraid of upsetting my team, which will do me no good anyway. At least in my experiences (especially with Crystal Palace)- Signing tons of transfers = Really poor performance

I'll definitely check him out, though.

We're halfway through the season, and we're right where we should be, 9th place.

Things are better than they seem, though. Considering my midfield has been a revolving door, once a player gets injured the one who just came back takes his place, we haven't been able to field our best squad. Add in a few long term injuries and we are ahead of where we should be.

So, while promotion looks like a long shot this year, I firmly believe next year I can win this division.

It's all about slowly establishing your foundation, but considering your injuries, you're in good shape.

I just thrashed Sevilla 4-1 with a brace from Busquets. I lost Jovetic for 2-3 weeks with a groin strain though About to face off against Chelsea in the second leg of my 1st knockout round. I have a 2-1 lead going back to Camp Nou

Yep, which is why I don't really mind missing promotion this year. Tough luck with Jovetic, sounds like he was doing well, too.

Just picked up 3 big points, although these should have been gimmies, I'll take them.

Players are starting to return from injury, I'm gonna try to rotate them more in order to preserve them.

Damn that's fast rsn Nice work!

I've advanced to the CL Quarterfinals after taking care of business with a 1-0 win over Chelsea at Camp Nou to win 3-1 on aggregate. It wasn't pretty by any stretch, but I got the job done thanks to some tweaking to my tactics. Cech was incredible against me, as I basically had chance after chance to score.

Another victory came against Racing. I now get to play Atletico Madrid another 3 times. Once in the league and twice in the CL as I drew them as my quarterfinal opponent. I've owned Atletico beating them twice in the league and another 2 times in the Copa

Ibrahimovic continues to maul the opposition - 41 goals in all comps as well as 15 assists. Messi is equally as fantastic with 27 goals and 26 assists. By far, these are my most valuable players although without Xavi and Iniesta, I'm not the same team.

Getting healthy again as Alves is back and Jovetic is almost fit. Should be a nice run to the title. Oh, and I have a 15 point lead now in La Liga as Real Madrid lost to Atletico lol.

I play a very fluid 4-5-1 (or 4-1-4-1) with an attacking mentality. Setting my full-backs to attacking makes me even more dangerous as I can have up to 7 players running at the defense. I have my holding midfielder support the defense. This has done wonders for me this season and I tweak accordingly

                                Jovetic is the real deal:

I played without Messi (rest) and Ibra (suspension) and still ripped poor Espanyol to bits. I actually played with a lot of my youngsters since my CL match-up was coming up.
