Hmmm. I haven't tried anything asymmetric. But Maxwell is a good pick-up for you. He's a little older, but is good going forward and will be decent for at least the next couple of seasons.

They did. I beat Australia in the semi's but lost to the Czech Republic in extra time 1-0.

Henry resigned as captain, so I gave it to Mexes with Flamini as vice-captain.

And the CL Final for 2009-10 is.........Barcelona vs. Real Madrid lol. Anyhow, I destroyed Bayern in the home leg:

My last few La Liga Games are against bottom feeding teams so I'm going to rotate, but make sure Zlatan and Messi can pad their stats lol

This game completely mystifies me sometimes.

I end up drawing Huddersfield nil-nil away in a downpour in the FA Cup tie.

4 days later I have to travel to Old Trafford to face United in the league cup semi final. I'm thinking I've SOL now, except my side comes out & THRASHES United to the tune of 3-nil! I completely dominated them.

So I'm thinking everything is grand now, until I draw West Ham 1-1 at WHL.

In a string of 8 days I day a League One side, beat United at Old Trafford & draw the 12th place Prem side at home. I'm currently sitting in 4th place (47 points from 23 matches), but only 3 points off the lead. The top six is a real dog fight and should make for a very interesting final month.

I feel you on this matter; that and the crazy injury bug that seems to hit team in spurts. I am in 2015, been with 3 different club teams in 3 different leagues. And is always the same. Just have to shoot for good depth and try to survive sometimes. I have started 2015/2016 EPL campaign with this up and down, Aresenal killed me 3-0, then i turn around and crush man 4-0 at trafford?? Beat bolton 4-0, then lose to aston villa 3-1, been crazy start of season. Champions league group play started and lost my first game 2-1, had goal disallowed, we shall see.

I'm only half way through my first season with Spurs, but I haven't been hit by the injury bug yet. I've had a few minor injuries here & there, but nothing that wrecked by squad.

And I've been fairly consistent up until Boxing Day. Now on into the new year my performances have been up & down, very inconsistent. When I do well I do extremely well (i.e. beating United at Old Trafford 3-nil), but when I struggle I struggle VERY badly (West Ham draw & Huddersfield draw).

I guess inconsistency is all part of a real life football club, god knows that Spurs are all over the place in real life, as the cup tie with Bolton showed. The difference is performance from the first half to 2nd half was incredible, I could not believe it was the same club on the pitch.

You nailed it right on the head there with your inconsistent season...it matches your team IRL

Anyhow, until my last couple of games, I have been relatively injury free...however, I lost Mateu, Busquets, and Fontas to injuries all in the same game!!!! Good thing I was able to get subs and Fontas and Busquets are only out for a few days.

I'll have some decisions to make after this season. I have to decide whether to keep Maxwell or Abidal as well as whether to sign Jovetic permanently. Jovetic has been awesome so I'm keeping him. TBH, he's much more effective as a lone striker because he's taller than Bojan and plays similarly to Zlatan.

I've been playing Bojan on the left as an inside forward cutting inside and he's still scoring and setting goals up

Just about to start up the 2010/11 campaign. Too many injuries [van der Vaart from last season (3-6 weeks), Anthony Annan (8 weeks-2 months -- training), Di Maria (2-3 weeks -- training), and a good regen CM (1-2 weeks -- training)] have forced me to cancel my friendly against Man City. I just cannot field a strong enough squad to compete with a top tier squad. Oh well. That nice chunk of change I would have received in gate receipts would have been pretty nice...

Why would you cancel the friendly? It's just a preseason match after all, you could have still used it to get players closer to match fitness and still received that chunk of change...

                      Update on My Liverpool Save:

I'm currently sitting in 4th after 13 played:

I'm pretty happy with this considering I'd lost Torres for 5 weeks and Gerrard for a week. N'Gog stepped up along with Dirk Kuyt to help keep me going strong. That's not to say we didn't lose some we shouldn't have though

                      As for the Champion's League:

Things arent going so well. Having my world class players injured and out of form didn't help me much. I have a big match against Fiorentina coming up this week. Hoping Torres will make it his return to the CL.

Sounds like you need to back off on the intensity of your training schedules, since so many players seem to be going down with injuries in training.

I wounded a majority of my squad back in FM09 because I had them on an intense preseason training schedule, once I backed off on the workload the injuries seemed to lessen....just a suggestion.

I believe that moral plays a huge role in success, to the point where an embarrassing friendly loss, especially at home, would be devastating. I'm not worried about match fitness, as I already have more than enough games to get my players ready. My friendly against Citeh was scheduled for Aug. 2.

I use Tugs Training. It's been awesome for me. I'm not switching anything. This preseason has just been an aberration.

Tug's Training is very solid. It's bad luck more than anything. I get some injuries in training, but nothing where I'd be like, WTF

My perfect season is intact. Just dispatched Malaga 4-1. I've scored 113 goals in La Liga this season which is a personal record for me in FM. I've only conceeded 17 lol.

One more game to go before my perfect season is complete Killed Villarreal thanks to a Sergio Busquets brace. Messi and Ibrahimovic scored again too. Ibra has 34 league goals and Messi at 27. 3 more games left - league game, CL Final against Real Madrid, and Copa del Rey Final against Valladolid.

Treble hopes very much alive and my summer signings all in place with Cesc and Jovetic joining. Not going to sign anyone else...
