If we don't sign a keeper this week, we will not win silverware this season. It's as simple as that.

I think Joe Hart would be a likelier option to grab on loan than Given. Isn't Rensing, the ex-Bayern keeper, available on a free too?

Given is the more likelier option now. Mancini named Hart the number one at Man City.

He did, but I'm still not optimistic about Given, because why would Man. City loan him to a team battling them for a top 4 spot? Maybe if he forces their hands, and there aren't any better suitors, but for now, I'm not holding my breath.

Like nomar, I'd be extremely surprised if they loan Given, a proven Premiership goalkeeper, to a top 4 rival. It makes no sense. If they are going to loan him anywhere, it would be either a top team in another league looking for a keeper, or a team like Newcastle.

I'm by no means saying its a done deal. Its just the best scenario we got right now to get a quality goalkeeper and damnit I'm gonna keep that hope!!
