Gallas = Worst Captain in the Premiership.

The guy has no leadership qualities whatsoever. I am so sick of him blaming someone else every time he screws up. I guarantee you if he wasn't French, he would not be wearing the armband.

Make Cesc the captain, everybody already looks up to him more than Gallas. Then sub Song or Djoruou for Gallas.

The amount of mistakes he makes on set pieces is ridiculous.

        Agree

        Cesc needs the armband.

          CESC!

I had a 45 minute conversation about this very thing with a coworker today and we both agreed that it was silly to stick with Gallas because his leadership is trash. The young guys need someone who is going to lead by example and he just doesn't get it done on the pitch or in the locker room.

Cesc should be the one. Djoruou should also be playing and I wouldn't mind seeing some Song and Gibbs.

Disgusted....I didn't even watch the game but I read about it. I don't even want to see the highlights. You know what all this blame on Gallas is funny. I think he has until the the winter to really show if he is worthy of the armband. Wenger was generous enough to give him a second chance but I'm going to be positive and say I think he will turn it around. Although to be honest I always felt he played way better at LB than at CB. He was really good at covering for defenders at that position. I wouldn't say bench him yet..lol...but give a couple of seasons and Djourou in time will be better than Gallas.

Ugh! I was camping this weekend, so I had to DVR the game. I watched the first 55 or so minutes Sunday night, turning it off with Arsenal leading 1-0 and thinking they would go on to victory (and possibly more goals). Yesterday, I caught Blaxican's post in a FIFA-related thread saying Acid was just upset that the Gunners lost to Hull. I watched the rest after work and couldn't believe my eyes. Very disappointing to say the least...

Anyone get to see the CL game?

We could have easily won that game 8-0. We missed at least 5 point blank opportunities.

Wenger needs to pull his head out of his azz, ASAP. Its just brutal watching these Prem games and thinking about who he should have bought to play at CB and CM when he chose to sit on his *** all summer.

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***

Well this is certainly shaping up to be a difficult season. Lucky to escape with a point against Sunderland (a tough squad, but one "title-contenders" need to beat, even away from home) and losses to Fulham and Hull (at home, are you kidding me?!). Not the stuff of contendership if you ask me...

I didn't get to see the game, but after reading some recaps, I have to wonder why Wenger went with such a defensive formation. Playing Cesc in the hole behind Adebayor is not a wise move if you're going to deploy Song and Denilson behind him. Just who is supposed to distribute the ball from the midfield in that scenario? Those two may be fine footballers in the future, but at this point I think it's a bit much to ask of them to control the center of the pitch.

We have almost two full weeks until the next game, but with many players on international duty, who knows who will be available when they return from the break. Hopefully our key guys make it through unscathed...

On the bright side, FIFA releases in the states prior to the next game for the Gunners, so at least we'll all be able to take out our frustrations on the virtual pitch!

Looks like Aaron Ramsey had a pretty good game against the England U21's. Highlights

I like what I've seen from him, hopefully he'll become a great player for the Gunners.

Well, so much for making it through the international break unscathed. Sagna, Gallas and Bendtner are out, while RVP and Djourou are doubtful. Cesc has a broken nose which may require surgery. If it does, I can't see him playing. I've had that done twice and I can't see someone running six miles with 27 pounds of gauze crammed in their sinuses. On top of all this, the Gunners have a difficult trip to Fenerbache on Tuesday and a thinned out squad does not bode well for a successful sojourn to to an already difficult to play in Turkey...
