I'm beginning to lean towards can't. There is no other explanation for me. When you're not offering market value for players, there's something up. And I'm not just talking about competing with Man City because that's a special case. But 100/k per week as a max? Well, then you better hope that your young players punch well above their weight because that's the only way you can compete with such a restriction.

I'm a fan of the Twins, and even they've realized that they have to spend money on player contracts to stay in the game. And yes, they're having a bad year, but that's not because of who've they've given contracts to.

I think they can, they just can't with the restriction and system they're rigidly following. They can afford it.

I know the whole, in a few years we'll be loaded with the stadium and what not, but if we keep falling down we'll have a long way to come back up.

Massive, massive game today. I have a terrible feeling I'm going to have the result spoiled before I can get to my DVR.

Anyone else absolutely terrified with the early state of Wilshere's injury? Such a familiar tale... a slight knock, he might be fit, he's had a setback, out 2-3 weeks... fully expecting a long absence at this point.

          From the Sun:

SAMIR NASRI has been blasted by a current Gunner after ditching Arsenal for Manchester City's millions.

Emmanuel Frimpong, 19, hit out at the Frenchman who will now rake in £175k a week.
Midfielder Frimpong tweeted: "Money is the root of all evil," after Arsenal announced the move on their website yesterday.
The rookie Gunners star, sent off against Liverpool on Saturday, was still seething at Nasri later in the day after team-mate Jack Wilshere wished him all the best.
Wilshere said: "Good luck to my friend Mr Nasri.
"I learnt a lot from him. World class player. Will be missed."
But Frimpong tweeted back: "Pffffff come-on Jack," implying he will not be missed by many players at the Emirates.

I hope I understood that right.

If I did, then it appears to me that Fimpong can't keep a level head on or off the field. I don't know that he's ready to play at the highest level, regardless of his technical skills.

One the game starts, I don't look at my phone and can't visit many of the sites I usually would throughout the day until I get home and watch on FoxSoccer.tv.

As for Wilshere, apparently training too soon didn't help, so I'm hoping they now give it as much time as it needs. If they do that, I think it'll be okay. As long as he isn't rushed into anything, I think he'll be back in a month.

Is it okay for me to say that I am a closet Arsenal fan?

I still love my Villa because they are my first love, but Arsenal, after years of watching the EPL, is probably my favorite team to watch. Plus, I ****ing hate Spurs and Candleface. Oh, and RVP is probably my favorite player.

Can't wait for the game today. Any lineups been released yet?

No Bendtner in sight. Guess you don't want to cup-tie him.

Arsenal looking good through 24 minutes. Many chances and some great passing. Let's hope this isn't one of those games where they dominate but can't score.

Wow 175k/week to play football games...
That's a lot of cash to play a football game.
