What about Adebayor coming back to Arsenal? Looks like you guys could use him again since RVP is so injury prone.

So, apparently we're going to buy experienced players.
Also, we've opened talks with Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila.

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
Although it was an impressive showing by Nasri (against Liverpool), a player by all counts on his way out, is it fair to the team, fans, and more importantly, the individual players on the field to put Nasri back in the starting side? I understand the quality that Nasri possesses, but is it a good (team) management move to select a player like that over one who is devoted to the team and willing to stay.
Or is it time to just get the result, no matter the cost?? That is the question I'm seeing right now (amongst the other problems facing Wenger and his staff)
I for one, would like to see Rosicky get the starts and the time. That's just me. And Wilshere's return can't come quick enough...Comment

I'd love it, but it won't happen.

So, it's a bit of a gamble but I don't think you play him if it means ruining a deal to cash in.Comment

Mancini has already fired the proverbial warning shot across the bow about cup-tying Nasri. If they play him, the deal is off.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
So what is the hold up on the deal? With him saying the deal is off if they cup-tie him tells me they don't expect to wrap it up anytime soon. Arsenal don't play till Wednesday. Are they that far apart in negotiations?Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
I dunno. With the way City spends money, you would have thought they would have just emailed Nasri's agent a fillable PDF to enter whatever terms they wanted in.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
And on the flip-side, Nasri's agent is probably saying, "If you don't agree to these high wages, Nasri will sign for someone else at the end of the season. You have to pay up to get him now."
Eventually I think they'll reach an agreement, but it makes sense for both parties to try and spin the situation to their advantage and thus get a better deal.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***
Its all rumors at this point but apparently winning the tie Wednesday is going to be the key to signing a few quality players. Notably Hazard."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."
