To my absolute delight I get one saying RvP scored on a penalty in the 91' and I think there is no way we can throw these 3 points away, there isn't enough time for US to even blow it. Then I get another update 4 minutes later (expecting a final whistle update) only to see Kuyt finished a penalty that I assumed Eboue conceded due to his booking update coming with it. I couldn't even say I didn't believe it because frankly, it was very believable for us.
I watched the highlights then when I got home and 8 minutes of stoppage time? What could have happened in a scoreless half to cause 8 whole minutes? The penalty we earned looked to be just that, a penalty. Cesc clearly touches the ball away as Spearing came through with his leg through Cesc's. Then, a free kick a minute beyond when the whistle should have gone is blocked by the wall and should be the final kick, it bounces out toward the corner and Lucas blatantly runs directly into Eboue's path, who only has eyes for the ball, and Lucas stops running right after he gets in front of Eboue and dives. Sh*t player, sh*t call and our title hopes are officially gone. Man U won't lose to us AND someone else while conceding their goal differential or drawing even another game. I was disappointed that we didn't win after a stoppage time penalty, but I'm now furious after seeing the manner in which they drew theirs.
The 8 minutes of stoppage were correctly added after Carragher was knocked out from a rather scary clash of heads with Flanagan.

Yeah, I read that after my post. Realized now that how I wrote it came off as I didn't believe it was correctly given as opposed to just generally wondering what happened.

Yeah it was one of those "oh ****" moments when you saw the replay and then one of those just awful feelings in your stomach when you see someone limply fall onto the pitch.

Still, Liverpool's goal came in the 102nd minute....grrrr. It was Fergie time.

          Son of a ******!!!

So I miss the game this morning to go take my kids to the mall to get a photo with the Easter Bunny. But no big deal that's what they invented DVRs for.

Now I'm not a rookie on the DVR. I know for all U.S. sports to always tape more than the scheduled program time, in case of OT or extra innings. But soccer is not a problem. The game is always 90-96 minutes and the FSC scheduled time slot is always more than enough to cover the whole game.......or is it?

So I'm watching the whole game tonight, see Carragher's injury and the extended delay and start to worry. I know it's going to be tight depending on how much injury time is given. When they put up the 8 minute sign ,I check the time remaining and see I have 10 minutes left so I'm good.....or am I?

Long story long, RVP scores, I go nuts. The announcer inevitably state the "Gunners have surely won it" I know better. The foul is called at the edge of the box and as Liverpool lines up ........ the program cuts off.

You know how the story ends. I think I'm going to wake up my 3 year old and tell him the the truth about the Easter Bunny.

Ladies and gentleman, another victim of "Fergie Time"! This man didn't even get to see our loss due to excess time being added on!

Hleb would like to come back to Arsenal. Yeah, no.

Barcelona midfielder Alexander Hleb said that he will not return to Birmingham but wants to stay in the Premier League

Wow, what a fortunate win for Arsenal thanks to a last-minute penalty!

                  Wait, what's that?

Cesc just brought down the hammer and I ****ing love it.

Cesc Fábregas has expressed his frustration at Arsenal's refusal to spend big and believes Arsène Wenger would be out of a job in Spain

                    Wow. Just, wow.

He makes some great points and I do love his honesty. How many years have we all said the same thing?

I appreciate everything Wenger has done for our club, but I agree that it's time he's held accountable for the failings of the club this season. I know Football Manager and real life football are vasty different realities, but all Arsenal fans who play that game do what first? Sign a keeper and a solid defender. Not a difficult concept to grasp Arsene. I love developing, but there's nothing wrong getting that elite keeper and centre back that this team desperately needs to win now. We have plenty of young players at the club now and we're wasting RVP's best years, Cesc, Nasri, and now Wilshere.

It's not that money is tight either. Wenger's too stubborn to realize this and it is this that will end his Arsenal reign in tatters if he doesn't do what needs to be done.

While I'm definitely not thinking it's time for Wenger to leave, I'm definitely thinking he has to make serious changes this Summer.

I've brought it up before and I will again, Wenger said before the season started that if no silverware was won, then he would have to change his approach and purchase more experienced players. So it's not as if he hasn't acknowledged this could fail. I believe he even said, if the experiment fails, etc.

So it should be an interesting Summer. One thing is for sure, it's great to see someone within the club step up and point out they're sick of not winning and only playing pretty football.

Huge draw between Newcastle and Man U just now. Any points Man U drop are vital, hopefully seeing that will spark even more drive into the team ahead of the derby tomorrow. Two wins for us adds huge pressure to them next Sunday.

Agreed. I still believe they'll drop points again so the key is will we. Most likely, but at least it's not technically over.
