Arsene just can't seem to get the checkbook out of his pocket.

Seriously though, who do you guys think is to blame for the lack of signings? Is Gadzidis still holding the purse strings or is Arsene stubborn?

Arsenal just got worked by almighty Wolfsburg in the transfer market. Think about that for a second.

I don't think we'd fire him during the season.

Isn't this the last year of the three year extension he signed? If anything, his contract would just end.

There's been rumblings for a while now that he could end up at PSG but I have a feeling he will do a Sir Alex and step away and move upstairs in some capacity.

If he moved upstairs and actually had any control, we'd still be in the same place we are now.

I finally believing that it's Arsene who doesn't want to spend, even though the board is saying here is the money to do so.

I feel like if a new manager came in tomorrow, we'd throw around some cash.

The frustrating thing is that Arsene keeps saying we have a strong squad and what not. So, let's say they're playing well. Ramsey has looked great in the preseason, and we're all clicking. What about when we get a few injuries? We go back to having zero depth. It doesn't matter if we have a good 11, 12, 13, or 14. We need more depth. We need more quality, but we also need more depth.

We have two fit CBs who can actually play, and Sagna picked up an ankle injury yesterday. So, our back four could be Gibbs, BFG, Kos, Jenkinson. If one of them goes down on Saturday...yeah.

Basic risk management. And the team just doesn't think this way (or Arsene doesn't, or whomever)

I've been in the "Don't sack Arsene" boat for quite some time, but ANYTHING less than 4th place, and I will completely withdraw my support. We've done jack **** other than offload some dead weight, and the other teams haven't gotten any worse.

Anything less than a league title and I withdraw my support.

There is no longer an excuse to not strengthen, given the cash from new sponsorships.

Also, Pete O'Rourke of Sky is reporting Arteta will miss up to six weeks with an injury.

We really need a signing now.

Sign No. 12864 that signings are needed

So Bellerin, Gnabry, Hayden and Zelalem to all be in the squad tomorrow. Trialist Bensebaini also featured in first team training today

It's time for supporters to step up and start some major *** protests. It's partially the supporters fault to keep supporting this terribly inept football club year after year with their wallets.

I usually always buy a kit among other Arsenal apparel but this year they aren't getting a dime.

I think an inept football club would have been regulated by now. Or gone the way of Liverpool. The fact of the matter is we still have a strong squad.

Do we need signings? of course. It has been quite frustrating as an Arsenal fan that we have not gotten in one quality signing or even a signing for depth reasons, but I do believe that this team has a lot of quality players and a very good defense to help us grind out games. I also think that Giroud and Podolski will improve from last season. We still need a couple signings as I stated, specifically defensive midfielder (especially now since Arteta is injured); and probably a couple of good defenders also. There is still two weeks to go in the transfer window, so there is still time. We can cope with this team for now, but if we want to compete in all competition, quality depth is needed.

We have a strong side if you like finishing 4th. If you think this side has any chance of winning anything you are kidding yourself.

Imagine how easy it will be to sign players with no champions league play to offer. That's why Arsene has to make moves now. I mean you guys are barely finishing 4th, and everyone else is improving their sides
