Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
It's pretty impressive. Last year we finished second to Man City (34) with 37 conceded. Damn. What an improvement. And we're currently on pace with 18 to finish one below last year with 36. Yaaay.Last edited by Krebstar; 12-30-2013, 12:07 PM.Comment

Well, we just got hit with a string of injuries. Hopefully Tomas and Jack are both fit for today.
Midfielders Tomas Rosicky (calf) and Jack Wilshere (ankle) both face fitness tests later on Tuesday, as does England forward Theo Walcott, who picked up a shoulder problem in the 1-0 win at Newcastle.
The full-back Kieran Gibbs definitely misses out because of a calf strain, while fellow defenders Nacho Monreal and Thomas Vermaelen have both been laid low by illness.
The midfielder Aaron Ramsey is expected to be unavailable for around three weeks with the thigh problem suffered in the win at West Ham on Boxing Day, while the German playmaker Mesut Özil is also sidelined, with the club awaiting results of a visit to a shoulder specialist.Comment

Once again, what a massive three points, as Chelsea and City both won. Another great performance by the squad that continues to not give up.
Bendtner, I hate you, but thanks. I guess you can score when you're that close, huh?
Nice chip by Theo, as well.
As far as injuries, Bendtner's ankle looks to keep him out for a few weeks. I'd love to see us bring in another striker, one who is different than Giroud. Then we have more depth, and Bendtner can leave this Summer.Comment

I just hope that Arsene, or the board, understand that this is a real chance to win the league. We're currently at the top of the league, and reinforcements will certainly help. Especially if we ever dream of winning the CL.Comment

He can play in both the CL and league, Belgian connection with TV5, he's an admitted Arsenal fan, and Villa could use the money to help themselves out of the bottom.Last edited by jb12780; 01-01-2014, 05:06 PM.GT:jb12780

"The greatest striker in the world" saves our arse. Who'da thunk it. Anyway, we MUST sign a striker. Seriously. That may be difference between winning the league and not and I don't think the board wants to throw away this chance to get back to winning trophies. No, Sanogo isn't cover either, if he ever comes back.
Also a CB would be a bonus if the Vermaelen sutuation is still unsettled."If you have a linebacker on him, you might as well start singing their fight song." -- WSU coach Bill Doba on Reggie Bush
