Assuming this one is for the future, I would still like to see a first team CB and DM signed. However, he will probably just use Coquelin, which is like a new signing in Arsene's mind.

I don't think the window closes without us signing a CB, but it'll be a third choice/rotation player, which at this point is just fine.

Can't believe I actually saw Wenger display a much more conservative approach to this game. Also hats off to Coquelin, that guy is a fighter.

It wasn't pretty but we deserved to win. Wenger got his tactics spot on and we played inspired and hard working football. Aguero and Silva were anonymous. Our back 4 were fantastic and Coquelin was assured and solid breaking up play. City never really threatened and we had enough on offense to win. After the 6-3 last year I will happily take this.

To me this match showed what we are capable of when we have a shut-down DM protecting the back 4. I never thought that DM would be Coquelin, and his sample size with the team is still too small to know if he is for real yet, but boy did he look great.

I'm going to enjoy this feeling, and hope we get to feel it again soon.

Arsene finally did what everyone has been asking for. Tactically change it up for the opponent, and don't just "play our game". Amazing what can happen when we don't go into an away match with a strong opponent and attempt to play the same we that we have for the last 4-5 years.

To be fair to Wenger he played a similar tactic/formation against Chelsea. Defence did well but was undone by some individual brilliance by Hazard and Costa. Didn't really have that cutting edge up front as Giroud might have made a difference in that game as well as Ramsey.

Rumors swirling that we are in for Paulista from Villarreal. Totally cool with this move. He's been great at CB this season.

Never seen a window when we let two attackers go and didn't try to run out and replace them. Small victories bros.

What will be the verdict on Jenko you guys think?? I'd love to bring him back, but with Bellerin looking so good I don't see a spot for him even if Chambers moves full time to CB/DM next season. Jenko looks so much better and secure defensively now, I'd like him to get another crack at the first team before we sold him.
