Cesc is playing the best I've ever seen him. After a shaky start, we're starting to get things going. because all the other top 4 teams haven't pulled away, we're in this race. Hoping for at least 1 trophy right now

      Yeah, I am extremely optimistic.

The team appears to be firing on all cylinders. My only concern is the inability they sometimes have to put away teams when they gain a halftime lead. They Put AZ away in the CL, and that's what they need to do more of so that if they give up a late goal, it won't kill them.

yes, def lost 2 points in the West Ham derby. unfortuante that. but, bigger concern right now is in January and the ANC. Song has been huge this year. true controlling mid, with surprising technique. we have not replacement. we have all the attacking in the world, but that central holder we are short. also short on the back line. we don't have the depth with the backs that we need.

I agree and hopefully, either Wenger buys someone or we hope that someone steps up from the youth ranks.

i think the central holder is a tough one to "step up" from the youth ranks. potential, but not for a couple of years. i think we need to buy.

The way were playing right now. There is no way Wenger is going to be buying in January. Its just not going to happen. Hell, he almost didn't buy last January when we were playing horribly and had just lost Cesc.

                Agree completely.

Great 4-1 win today. Sucks for Eduardo that the second goal he claimed as his own was ruled (correctly) an own goal, but Arsenal is really firing on all cylinders. Let's just hope Chelsea drops points at Man Utd. tomorrow.

And hopefully Diaby's injury isn't serious, as it seems like Arsenal just can't stay healthy.

Diaby sucks anyway. But if he's out for awhile, it may force Wenger to buy in January. Especially with Song being gone for the ACN.

Just curious, is Arsenal really this good or is just the quality of recent opponents?

I think it's both. Arsenal lost to Man United and Man City, but in both those games, if we capitalize on our chances, then we win because they outplayed them for large stretches of the game

A lot of the recent opposition has been poor, but we also beat Everton 6-1 and Spurs 3-0 and both those teams are fairly decent teams.

The 4-1 win was nice, but we were lucky - Wolves should have been 1 up early in the game and the set piece defending was shoddy. A win's a win, but there's always room for improvement

Definitely both. Arsenal have all the quality in the world, physically. Mentally, we're lacking. Defensive lapses will kill us.

It already has - the West Ham and Manchester games in particular.

Still, I love our team now. Once we are fully healthy (if that ever happens) watch out!!!!!

RVP and Fabregas have taken it to another level this year. When you watch RVP, it seems like he's playing on another level than anyone else.

I think it has a lot to do with Ade leaving. Those two did just not get along. Which was evident when Ade stepped on RVP's face.

Ade leaving was probably for the best. RVP is a more complete player and he is showing is this season. Cesc is a lot stronger physically and all that work is showing now as he is scoring more and being more of a factor

I wish Walcott could stay healthy enough to play regularly because he's very very good. I really like Ramsey too. For a 19-year-old, he's very poised and could be a solid replacement for Cesc if/when he leaves. I obviously hope he doesn't, but you never know in football these days
