Remember when we swapped Alexis for Mkhi?

    Solid move.

Both players have been shockingly poor, Alexis moreso. I thought he'd be rejuvenated with a 'better' Man Utd squad, but he is just so.... bad?

Mkhi has looked good so far despite the tame game he had against West Ham.

Reports are stating that Reiss Nelson is off to Hoffenheim. Some say it's a season loan and some say it could be a permanent deal. Surprised by this. He had a pretty solid pre-season and could have been a good option off the bench.

I don't think he wants to be a bench option, and that's where the club and player have a large disconnect. Arsenal want him to come along slowly, and Reiss wants to play now.

Yeah, he's had pretty much this entire year to sign a new contract, and I think he's seeing the opportunities other young English players are getting abroad. I really hope it's a loan, or an option to buy back as I'd hate to lose him entirely.

So, it seems possible that Nelson is resigning and then going out on loan, which sounds great to me.

It would be great. Gain experience under different coaches, different tactics, even if he’s not getting tons of game time it’ll help him grow.

                      Really hope it’s what happens.

After seeing Low's comments today, I want to say this but I don't know where...so it's here.

It's frustrating to see the reaction to Ozil's claims of racism be derailed by intentional misunderstandings. Low and several players have said that no racism was present within the team or squad, therefore essentially saying Ozil's claims are false and have no basis.

The issue is that nowhere did Ozil ever say he faced racism from teammates, or within the squad. His issue was from the federation, not those playing next to him.

Coming out with his statement took courage, and it's unfortunate to see the piling onto him continue as those who could offer support, in a small or large way instead dismiss his claims, which are claims he never made. It's a misinformation campaign that is extremely unfortunate, and I would not at all be surprised to know that this is still affecting him.

I'm not using any of this to excuse any shortcomings on the field—but it's so frustrating to see that I just wanted to share it somewhere.

Did you hear the question asked to Low or to Kroos or other players who answered? I only saw Lows comment but not the question but I know Neuer was asked directly about racism among the players. My guess is the media twisting Ozils words and the players and coaches reacting to the reporters questions about racism within the camp.

I don't see how so many would be getting it wrong if that was not the case.

My one issue with Ozil in all of this is that he never talked to Low about retiring or any of his problems. Even after admitting Low defended him. The manager deserved at least a phone call.

I've only seen the statements made by players, and as far as I know, they were often just asked to comment on the situation. I think it's a very unfortunate case of everyone agreeing, even subconsciously, to shut down any negativity, regardless of whether it's aimed at those high or those on the field.

I'd love to see a lineup like this
