I think the logical choice for captain would be your next longest-tenured player and England international, Carl Jenkinson.

Club rules state that the captain (captain only, not co-captain) may rarely play or feature in the starting eleven, so given our self-imposed restrictions he's one of the better options.Comment

Apparently, Kos’ contract had a one-year club option extension that was activated? Perhaps?
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was agreed he would go and now the club decided against that. Hence why he wants to be released, as he planned on being released this Summer.
What an absolute mess. The player has blame, of course, but I can’t help but see this yet again as an example of how poorly run the club is right now.
Hopefully with Edu now in place and positions filled things can improve in the future. Because right now we’re still a joke.Comment

That's funny because yesterday I saw Spurs fans saying the opposite on some Tottenham sites. Everyone thought he was going to Arsenal.

They've made a better offer to the club, as far as I know, but not exactly to the player, and Saliba already agreed to terms with Arsenal. Ornstein also said it was in the final stages with lawyers going through the paperwork, it's not as if we're in the initial talk and Spurs swoop in, also.
If it falls apart now, I think it'll be pretty surprising. If anything, it might prove to be more of a Spurs missed their shot as it took them too long to get their offer together. Right now, to me this appears more of a "what took so long, Spurs?" and less of an "oh geez, Arsenal" type of moment.
Just because another club runs into negotiations at the last second doesn't mean we haven't been doing what we should be doing. The deal is in the final stages, he's agreed to terms—I don't buy the whole Spurs can wrap up a deal in two days that took us two weeks—this **** takes time, regardless of what sensational transfer season stories say.Last edited by Krebstar; 07-12-2019, 04:36 PM.Comment
