What’s the general consensus from today?

    Blah?

My son asked me who I thought was good and poor, and I really couldn’t identify anyone in either direction. Maybe I’m wrong, but I do think the monsoon played a part..

Just thought everyone was very average today. Guendouzi is probably my MOTM.

I think that’s when he’s trying to do too much, and needs time to just settle down and understand he’s in a much different league.

I do blame Emery for not creating a cohesive attack with the players at his disposal. Pepe not producing in those situations, to me, further illustrates what’s wrong with Emery right now.

He’s 100% reliant on individual brilliance. That’s not always going to work, and from what I know of Pepe, he’s not at his best when facing off with a defender from a stand off. He needs space, and he needs to be running into space.

We still seem to have no real plan going forward. We rely on an individual moments to solve our limp attack, and it’s becoming more and more apparent.

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***

We were really lacking a connection from our midfield 3 to our attacking 3. I don't have Emery's tactical plans, so I don't know who was truly at fault, but my estimation is that he put too much creativity on the Xhaka/Guendouzi pairing. Xhaka hit a few good long balls, as did Guendouzi, but we had no option when the long or longish ball wasn't there.

Pepe is whatever. It's frustrating to watch him struggle but at the same time, I'm not going to just give up on him before a full calendar year passes. If he's still struggling like this come 2020, I'll be angry(especially if Everton comes good)

While I'm fine with a draw at Old Trafford, I do think tactically we could've been the aggressor and gone for three points. This would be one of those games where if we really went after it and ended up losing, I'd have quietly been fine with it.

Finally, I'll only be mad about Holding not starting if he doesn't start against Liege. On the road to recovery easing him back in with lower impact games seems prudent.

Only two mentioned in the team news unavailable for tomorrow are ESR and Lacazette. Full squad after that.

Hector Bellerin is the skipper tonight.

No Ozil on the bench again. His time must be coming to an end in January surely, if someone can afford the wages. A loan at least.

I’ve seen rumors that that’s the plan, even if Arsenal have to pay some of those wages. Shocking how it’s all gone down.

Add me to the group that’s more excited to see these “B” lineups than what starts regularly in the PL.

What’s frustrating, is that this sheet today likely means we won’t see Tierney, Holding, or Bellerin at the weekend.

                    Sigh.

I'm fine with easing the people recovering from long term injuries back in to the side in low pressure games. Establishing good match fitness is important, if they are still doing it in January I'll be upset about it.

Suprised Chambers isn't playing. He has been pretty good the last 3 or 4 games. Probably means he plays on Sunday against Bournemouth.

Looked like he might have picked up slight knock Monday. Either that or was just totally gassed.

I think it’s just rest though.

I'd like to think I'm being calm and rational, but I'm pretty sure Martinelli is better than Messi.
