Great to see my boy Samir doing work. That run he had on his goal was simply class. And it shows you what kind of player he can be when he's played at his natural position.

With him and Ramsey, losing Cesc shouldn't be to bad from a performance standpoint. Though it will be bad from a personal standpoint, as he is my favorite player ever.

I'm wondering if Cesc will be leaving after this season though. He will go back to Barca, but I think he'll go after next season to be honest. As I love both Barca and Arsenal, it won't matter too much to me although he's better off as a Gooner at this point. He's the captain and would grow more with Wenger

I don't think he goes back until he has a guaranteed spot in the starting 11. They have already have a better version of Cesc in Xavi. Maybe he could take Keita's spot but he's been pretty steady for him.

Great game. Bendtner and his gangly-self took care of business. Still pales in Henry in his prime- he needs to be more consistent. I started watching soccer seriously in 03 when I was in London and I got to watch some pure mastery from Henry during that great season. I still think getting an elite striker would help this team immensely.

Arshavin had some ugly passes and got lazy a couple of times but he played a great game. He had a nice header early in the first half that Helton made a nice save on. He's a guy that will be a superstar once he irons out the mental mistakes.

Vermaelen played phenomenally- he's rock solid. Sol looked a tad bit slow and his funadementals just look off. This is one area that needs to be addressed in the next transfer window- Sol will only hold the fort at this point.

Nasri is electrifying and will fill in nicely whenever Cesc departs- I still hope it doesn't happen but it just seems an inevitability.

Almunia > Fabianski, but I don't think anybody needed me to tell them that. Still would like to start grooming another young keeper.

Also, how good was Robben's goal against Fiorentina- just beautiful. Nasri's goal was just as good though.

The problem is: Almunia < then the goalkeepers of the other elite teams. I think Don Vito could one day be a good keeper for us, but I don't know if I can stand another season of Almunia. I hope Wenger buys one in the off-season, but I doubt he will.

I don't think he leaves either. At the same time with the elections at Barca and being around all the Barca guys at the World Cup this Summer. The pressure for him to go will be at an alltime high.

Watched the game last night on DVR and what a treat it was. Still more dodgy moments at the back than I'd like to see -- ones that often prove their undoing against top-class teams -- but still a fantastic response to the first leg.

Nasri looked a different player in the middle, no? How about Song making tackles everywhere? And while a hat-trick is always impressive, Bendtner's work in the air and harassing the defence on 50/50s impressed me more. I think the only negative on the evening goes to Arshavin's haircut. What is that?

Speaking of Arshavin's head, if I can find the video of him getting ready to come on as a sub while still wearing a stocking cap, only to have Wenger take it off while both laugh, then he can do whatever he wants to with his hair.

he's playing his 7th game since being out for 10 weeks 3 as sub 2 starts where he was subbed off
he's young and personally if Van Persie was fit he would be on the bench and allow us to have a "plan B" when its not going so well

As for Hull this weekend, looks like Cesc is out for sure. I'm really not worried at all. I think it's best not to risk him at all, and that whatever team we put out will get the three points for us.

I sense another goal for Niklas.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that is sometimes annoyed by Arshavin. There are times I'm not sure he cares whats going on, especially if things aren't going good for him or if he feels that he's not getting enough of the ball.

I agree with Arshavin. When he's on, he's on, but he can disappear and look like he doesn't care

Looking forward to tomorrow's game though

                              Exciting win today against Hull.

I was going to be extremely upset with a draw, given that Hull were down a man, but one thing you can say about this Gunner team is that they never give up.

I'm quoting myself, just for the "I sense a goal for Niklas." I must say, I didn't sense one that would be that important.

Ugly win, but it doesn't matter. Three points is three points at this stage of the season.
