I truly do believe that we can beat Barca. I wouldn't be surprised if they handle us rather easily, but how do you beat them? You control the ball, and that is something we can do.

Plus, I think we have the chance to play much more physical than they will, which could help us as well.

I know some people are dreading facing them, but it's exciting. This is what it's all about. Two teams who play the most beautiful football in the world squaring off.

i think this is a salient point... and one i just made with a mate here in london. arsenal plays a much more fluid and open game, like barca. but we play in a MUCH more physical league. that disctinct difference could be the edge arsenal will have... we will see if that plays out on the pitch

Barca have their share of physical players. Toure, Pique, Zlatan, and Puyol are not pushovers. As much as I worry about Messi, it is Xavi and Iniesta we will have to focus on as both players can rip teams apart.

I support Barca in La Liga, but my loyalty is always with Arsenal first. Go Gooners!!!!!

I would much rather face a team like Barca than a physical side like Inter Milan. Sure we will no doubt leak a few goals, but we also have the ability to snatch a few against Barcelona as well. Especially if Arshavin decides to play, as he has the ability to destroy Danny Alves, who for all his prowess going forward, is a liability in the back.

          Should be a fun tie.

At this point, all the teams left are going to be trouble. Lyon beat Real Madrid so they're no push-overs.

Big game tomorrow against West Ham. We must win to stay in the title race

              Huge game tomorrow.

Arsenal have played so well of late that it seems they're due for one of those 0-0 draws where they dominate but can't score. Hopefully that doesn't happen.

Let's be straight here, Barca was the 2nd worst draw we could of had (behind Man U). And it's pretty clear they are the best team in the world. So do I like our chances?-no- Do we have a chance?- yes! We're as good a match up for barca as anyone, so I hold some hope. W/ that being said, I still think our best hope for silverware will be in league, due to our weak schedule.

No, but we lost Vermaelen after his sending off. That means unfortunately that we may see Silvestre on the pitch. 3 points is a good thing at this point and with our schedule down the stretch, we can make a solid run. Man United and Chelsea still have to play each other....

That red card was so bogus. I don't even think it was a foul, but to give a red card for that? Give me a break.

My hope is that Arsenal appeal and win, meaning they won't lose Vermaelen.

He was the last defender and pushed him down from behind in the box. I hope they appeal and the FA decide that Arsenal are wasting their time and suspend him for another game.

He didn't push him down. There was contact, but then Vermaelen took his hands off him, well before he went down.

And even if it was worthy of a penalty, which though I wouldn't agree with the decision, I wouldn't have had a huge problem with the decision (it's a questionable call, and on those you give the ref the benefit of the doubt), but there is no way that was worthy of a red card.

It's worthy of a red card based on the fact that Vermaelen was the last defender.

You're off your rocker. No way was that a foul, no way was it worthy of a red.

I don't agree with the foul but I agree with the red, if that makes any sense. If the referee deemed that as a foul, he has to send him off.

It was a questionable call, but Vermaelen had to be sent off as he was the last defender and the ref deemed it a foul. If Wenger is smart, he'll just leave it and let Vermaelen miss the one game instead of potentially more.
