yeah it's only Finland and New Zealand but Layun, Pena and Peralta looked unstoppable. Gives me hope for the new look squad going forward.

0-0 Jordan and Uruguay ends, it is now official. Rough estimate of Jordan fans in Montevideo is 6 according to Ray Hudson

                      North America/Asia
Pretty much like this, but there are 9 teams from Europe left, so one of them will have to go in with Africa and South America. Kinda messes up the draw ever so slightly since you then run the risk of drawing 3 European teams together, so you have to skip over a group and slot them in a group where a South American team is seeded.

                        Algeria could lose their spot.

The Burkina Faso football federation appeals to Fifa, claiming Algeria used an ineligible player in their World Cup play-off.

Ouch. I don't think FIFA has a choice but to disqualify Algeria. What a terrible way to get knocked out. Though they don't have anyone else to blame but themselves.

It is definitely their fault as well, but I primarily blame FIFA in this case.
How do the officials and delegates at the game allow a suspended player to play???

                              Because Africa.

June 2, 2012: FIFA awarded Zambia a 3–0 win as a result of Sudan fielding the ineligible player Saif Ali. The match originally ended 2–0 to Sudan.
June 2: FIFA awarded Congo a 3–0 win as a result of Burkina Faso fielding the ineligible player Herve Zengue. The match originally ended 0–0.
June 3: FIFA awarded Niger a 3–0 win as a result of Gabon fielding the ineligible player Charly Moussono. The match originally ended 0–0.
March 24, 2013: FIFA awarded Cape Verde a 3–0 win as a result of Equatorial Guinea fielding the ineligible player Emilio Nsue. The match originally ended 4–3 to Equatorial Guinea.
June 8: FIFA awarded Botswana a 3–0 win as a result of Ethiopia fielding the ineligible player Minyahil Teshome. The match originally ended 2–1 to Ethiopia.
June 8: FIFA awarded Cape Verde a 3–0 win as a result of Equatorial Guinea fielding the ineligible player Emilio Nsue. The match originally ended 2–1 to Cape Verde.
June 9: FIFA awarded Cameroon a 3–0 win as a result of Togo fielding the ineligible player Alaixys Romao. The match originally ended 2–0 to Togo.
September 7: FIFA awarded Tunisia a 3–0 win as a result of Cape Verde fielding the player Fernando Varela, who had been sent off in the match against Equatorial Guinea on 24 March 2013. As a result of his sending off for unsporting conduct towards a match official, Varela had been given a four match suspension and would miss the rest of the qualifying campaign plus one further FIFA game. Varela did not participate in the games against Equatorial Guinea on 8 June 2013 or the game against Sierra Leone on 16 June 2013. Complicating matters, Varela's red card against Equatorial Guinea was removed from the FIFA.com website. The match originally ended 2–0 to Cape Verde.
September 7: FIFA awarded Angola a 3–0 win as a result of Liberia fielding the ineligible player Nathaniel Sherman. The match originally ended 4–1 to Angola.

Is there any chance that cards re-set after one round is completed? Cards re-set after the quarters? of the World Cup, so is there any way that possibly after the group stage in Africa is over, that the cards all go away? I have no idea what the answer is, and I'm definitely no soccer expert, so I don't know where to go to look that sort of thing up.
