I was talking about the end of last season, but yeah, he's back to the purgatory of not even playing at all.

I love seeing all this young talent on the us team. Though after watching the game against the Czechs I am still seeing a few too many breakdowns on defense. If you want to make the semis in a world cup your defense has to be solid for the whole 90 mins

        Yes!

Minor league midfielder Miguel Ibarra will be included on the U.S. national team's roster for next month's friendlies against Ecuador and Honduras, multiple sources told ESPNFC.com

That's awesome. You have to figure some of the MLS clubs have their eye on him.

Him and NASL leading scorer Christian Ramirez will not be in the NASL for too much longer. Just enjoying watching them while they're here.

21-man squad for the Ecuador friendly. Sounds like there's going to be changes to the squad for the Honduras match that's a few days later.

GOALKEEPERS (3): Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Bill Hamid (D.C. United), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake)

DEFENDERS (7): John Brooks (Hertha Berlin), Timmy Chandler (Eintracht Frankfurt), Greg Garza (Club Tijuana), Omar Gonzalez (LA Galaxy), Michael Orozco (Puebla), Tim Ream (Bolton Wanderers), DeAndre Yedlin (Seattle Sounders FC)

MIDFIELDERS (6): Alejandro Bedoya (Nantes), Joe Corona (Tijuana), Mix Diskerud (Rosenborg), Luis Gil (Real Salt Lake), Julian Green (Hamburg), Alfredo Morales (Ingolstadt)

FORWARDS (5): Jozy Altidore (Sunderland), Landon Donovan (LA Galaxy), Joe Gyau (Borussia Dortmund), Miguel Ibarra (Minnesota United FC), Bobby Wood (1860 Munich)

Is Zardes injured right now? I wonder what he has to do to get a call up

It seems to be that Klinnsman is respecting that several teams are in the hunt for Supporters' Shield & playoffs and isn't calling up too many players from the rosters.

Also, Zardes has done well this year, but he's really benefiting from great service and having other great players on the roster with him (like Neagle is doing in Seattle and little bit like Wright-Phillips in NYRB). I think he'll get a January camp call-up, but there are other MLS guys like Lee Nguyen that have also deserved a look.

Zardes is pretty young still. I wouldn't worry.

ESPN FC just called Donovan the greatest player to ever play the game.
                    Lol.
Edit: they just said it again, they must be on drugs.

Assuming they mean greatest American, they aren't wrong, in my opinion.

Yeah you're right but they actually said greatest soccer player not greatest American soccer player.

For when Ibarra subs in for LD on his swan song and scores a goal, the proper way to celebrate is:

                          MI-GUEL I-BAR-RA MI-GUEL I-BAR-RA
NO TIME FOR LOSERS CUZ MI-GUEL I-BAR-RA

So, I guess Wondo is going to be on the squad on Friday.

Landon's farewell should be appointment viewing. I know I'll probably be drunk, swathed in the American flag, but to each his own. 👍
