After that 1st half, I see no reason to believe that Mexico is going to score tonight. US has a chance.

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
The camera view that had an angle most like what the ref would have had it almost looked like the US player got the ball with the way the ball moved. Of course from the 99.9 percent of the other angles it's clear that it was a foul from behind.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights

Oh well. Been on the wrong side of plenty of stuff in the past. You take it when you get it.
That's two results in a row at Azteca where Mexico hasn't scored. Let's all enjoy that fact for a minute.Comment

Plus, if Edu hadn't touched the ball, why else would Mexico have gotten a corner? Nobody else on the US touched it after it hit Edu or Aquino's foot right?MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Right. The refs "saw" him hit the ball so they awarded the corner and not the penalty.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights

Edu isn't on Clark like levels yet, but he was reckless with his challenges and sabotaged many a counter attack. I think we were lucky to come away with a point the way Edu was playing.
Major credit to the back four, two games in a row where they haven't given up a goal. Although one was in a snowstorm and the other against a largely toothless Mexico at the moment, it's still nice to see.
What the hell has happened to Mexico? About a year ago, they would counter attack with precision and destroy you with clinical finishing and strikes. Now, they are nothing more than a sloppy, careless, zombie of a team.Too Old To Game Club

Very proud of Matt Besler tonight - reppin Overland Park KS. He was not only clinical in the air, but positioning to cut off the passes or draw offsides was remarkable.
I was scared Beasley could have gotten the red in the first half, Edu was somewhat lost with the ball - Bradley was a great outlet - Deuce let me down with not being able to hold the ball - Altidore was just poor.
Notables are back four and I think Zusi did well in tracking back. Not sure what Brad Davis brought to the table. Would have loved to see Shea earlier.
Overall, great point from the Azteca, super lucky - but well deserved.Comment

Beasley looked shaky in the back at times, but survived. Well done by Gonzalez.
Mexico has problems. Chepo better figure it out.Comment

Huge point for the US. Yeah, we got away with a PK there, but we've been on the other side of that...that's football.Comment
