      From Sports Illustrated's Grant Wahl:
MEX journo: Is this tie a victory for your team?
      Klinsmann: No, it's a tie.

Just doesn't make any sense in my opinion.

After looking at Mexico's schedule, in hindsight losing that Gold Cup wasn't so bad after all... Look at all the matches they have this summer. (Yes, I know the Confederations Cup and this year's Gold Cup don't really mean anything, but still.)

June 4 at Jamaica (World Cup Qual.)
June 7 at Panama (World Cup Qual.)
June 11 vs Costa Rica (World Cup Qual.)

June 16 vs Italy (Confederations Cup)
June 19 at Brazil (Confederations Cup)
June 22 vs. Japan (Confederations Cup)
*June 26/27 vs TBD (Confederations Cup Semifinal)
*June 30 vs TBD (Confederations Cup Final/Third-Place)

July 7 vs Panama (Gold Cup)
July 11 vs Canada (Gold Cup)
July 14 vs Martinique (Gold Cup)
*July 20/21 vs TBD (Gold Cup Quarterfinal)
*July 24 vs TBD (Gold Cup Semifinal)
*July 28 vs (Gold Cup Final)

that is brutal. Better start giving more minutes and call ups to some of the U23 Olympic squad.

Yeah, if I were them WC Quals get the A-squad, then mix in some U23s in the Confed. Cup, and by the time the Gold Cup rolls around the squad would basically just be the U23s.

That, or they can roll with the A-squad the entire time and be gassed by the time the Gold Cup is here.

I'll take that draw all day. Good performance. They should have had a penalty kick but eh.

Ian Darke was his usual fantastic self. I hope NBC hire him for their coverage or ESPN continues to get one game a week.

No idea. Chicharito had some golden chances last night too.

Mexico and Uruguay have me confused. Both have fallen apart completely. I still think Mexico picks it up and qualifies.

It's going to have to take something pretty extraordinary for Mexico not to qualify. I don't think there are 4 teams better than Mexico in CONCACAF or New Zealand.

Exactly, they just need to finish off their chances. To not score in 2 games at Azteca is unacceptable. I'm shocked the crowd didn't let that team have it on their way out.

Exactly. Just like with us after match day 1, there is no need for them to panic. There are 21 points left. They are 2 points from being in first place and are still the best team in the hex.

I agree. I just see how the quality of their play has suffered immensely. However, I don't see any realistic outcome where they do not qualify outright.
