But, it's still extremely unlikely IMO that we don't end up qualifying.
Yeah my issue is that it doesn't seem like JK has really learned anything from the previous round like mentioned in the article. His tactics and formations are just bizarre(ie: putting Timmy Chandler on an island against Espinoza). I still need to be sold on players like Zusi and Johnson by them performing against the quality that's in the hex, this isn't Guatemala or Trindad and Tobago anymore. I hope they prove me wrong though.

Tim Howard has also spoken out against the Straus article:

We have a great group of guys who are all committed to the cause, and the morale and the camaraderie remains high. We are completely unified in our ultimate goal, which is to qualify for the World Cup.

        Now Michael Bradley, as well:

…But you cross a line when you take those thoughts and you take your disappointments outside of the team, outside of the inner circle.

It doesn’t help anybody or anything we’re trying to do this week. When you play on a team you have a chance every day to give everything you have, and part of that means having the [guts] to say things to guys to their face, and having the [guts] to say things in front of the team. I think in those ways, that this is really disappointing that in a week as important as this ... that you’d have something like that happen.

The challenge of every guy is to step on the field Friday night and make sure that for every American watching, that there is no sign of anything that’s gone wrong this week. It’s our job to represent ourselves, to represent our country in a way that makes everybody proud.

Whoever those 11 anonymous players were, **** 'em.

Yea, this was the most troubling thing from the entire article. Lahm's not some punk backup player, He's an experienced vet and team captain. Also to see the results of JK at Bayern and then Low w the nat team is very concerning. I do love JK's attitude and motivational skills.

With regards to the infighting, Im sure a lot of MLS'ers are a bit envious of these German-Americans coming in and repping a country they arent even really from. I see their frustration..but at the end of the day, theres a reason theyre in the MLS and the German dudes are in the Bundesliga. A good result Fri should shut a lot of the cynics up for awhile.

I don't even think that's it. Klinsmann is a lot more MLS-friendly than Bradley ever was.

Yeah I'm hoping Justin Morrow gets the start today because of the form he's been in.

So is the snow and high altitude an advantage for us?

It can't hurt. We should always try to make these teams come as far North as possible.

Yay, the match isn't on BeinSport. Broadcasters are actually at the event. Ian Darke is the man.

Oh man. I forgot that Howard is out. I got a bad feeling about this. Granted, considering the condition of the pitch, who knows what the hell is gonna happen here.
