EJ showed some sick control there and silky finish. That was a joy to watch.

USA and Mexico will be in the world cup.... bottom line.
I'm honestly not so sure about that. Honduras, Panama, and Costa Rica all have a game left against Jamaica which SHOULD be 3 points. They all play Mexico again as well. The United States legitimately has a chance to diminish Mexico's chances at the World Cup in September which would be the sweetest thing ever.

Honestly, I want Mexico to finish 4th. I want 4 teams from our region in the World Cup.

I don't, just because it'd be wonderful to throw into the faces of the Mexico fans who thought they were assured a World Cup spot and a spot in the finals after winning the Olympics.

Great match, strong performance. The connection between Bradley and Cameron is exceptional. I think JJ is going to have to battle for his spot when he gets back; because I really like how Cameron played tonight.

Congrats to Jozy - that was so awesome to see when he bullied his way, with his back turned, in the box - you can really tell he has that confidence back. This is exciting stuff.

Mexico has been crap and everybody else has improved their quality, but when it's all said and done I think they'll still go through.... even if it's via the playoff match.

Can't really add anything that hasn't been already. Bradley is a rock, thought Cameron played great, and it is great to see Jozy back in form again.

                3 pts.

                  Having played an extra game.

                  Points per Game:
                  2 - United States
                  ...
                  1.6 - Costa Rica
                  1.4 - Honduras
                  1.3 - Mexico
                  1.2 - Panama
                  ...
                  0.33 - Jamaica

if Jozy has a big summer I wonder where he'll be playing next year. he was a man among boys against panama, at least for the first 70 minutes or so. the turn he had when he was fouled and should have had a penalty is prototypical center forward stuff. but he's also been running the channels and his touch when bringing down long balls has been brilliant. he's what, 22? 23? get him into the bundesliga.

there was a time after the second goal came around the 60th minute that i thought they were going to put up a 4-0 scoreline and i'm slightly disappointed they didn't

how about fabian johnson's creativity at that left mid spot

bradley has improved tremendously since joining Chievo and then Roma (did i say that before?)

I think Altidore would flourish in either Germany or Spain.

Don't think he is physical enough for England, and not a big enough douche for Italy.

Bradley is by far my favorite USA. player. I'm trying my best to get my wife to agree to a trip to Brazil next year to se these guys in action.

I think Jozy is certainly physical enough and has the body to withstand the BPL.

Any league could use a striker like Jozy, especially in the form he is in now.

Cameron was outstanding. I'm loving the idea of having 3-4 strong subs in EJ, Cameron, Donovan and Beasley that can play multiple positions in a first choice squad.

I'm just glad we gave JK enough time. It took a long time for him to really go through his player pool and find the right mix which is generally the biggest thing for international coaches, especially one like the United States which is large and varied really. Could help us avoid a Ricardo Clark vs Ghana moment again.
