Branislav does get some run at RB for Chelsea though right? I thought Debuchy had taken Simpson's spot?

Anyway thanks for cleaning that up. I was racking my brain at work trying to name all the Prem League RBs. List looks better now. Don't know how I missed Cameron.

Well you pointed out 4 clubs he would potentially start at, I'd say 5 because honestly Bosingwa is monstrously overrated.

5 is a pretty decent number of clubs if you ask me

Potentially being a starter is definitely different than easily being a starter. Upon further review only place he easily starts is with the Hammers. Guy Demel is atrocious in my opinion.

I guess I just rate Franklin higher than you do. Personally I'd start him over Demel/Bosingwa/Jones, and I think he could contest Riether

Anyways, getting off on a tangent here with Sean Franklin

I'm actually very curious to see if Brek Shea can regain he form at Stoke. We don't really have many good outright widemen

I am hoping like heck he does. Brek is one of my favorite players and we could reeeeeally use him.

I'd love to see what Gatt is capable of as well. If we had 2 consistent real wingers it would help Jozy and Dempsey out so much on the attack

The lack of quality outwide certainly hurts. We def have two proven finishers up top. Its a shame we can't get it to them regularly.

                      We're fine, guys.

Since 1990, only Trinidad and Tobago and Canada have lost the first match of the final round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying and failed to advance to the World Cup finals.

Guys got to stop freaking out and being so critical on the USMNT, about every little thing - it's a constant theme throughout this entire thread.

The only thing that should be brought up from the game is the questionable subs and lack of experience/leadership in the central defense.

Everything else was good. Bradley was leading through the middle - Dempsey got on the ball - Jozy needs work, but it's still there.

Who is "freaking out"? Is this not where we post concerns/discussion about the team?

Lol yeah I definitely don't think anyone is freaking out.

Also I absolutely disagree that the only worrying things were the subs/defensive leadership. Qualifying is a long process and, especially with Mexico/Jamaica tying, we are not in any real danger at the moment.

We do however, need a lot of work if we are going to actually cause trouble in this group.

I definitely thought Jermaine Jones being subbed out had a big effect on both sides of the ball. He was having a wonderful game. I really think we need more pace on the wings though. I don't think Zusi and Kleijstan can be effective out wide in the long run. Hopefully Gatt warrants a call up because I'd love to have his pace on the right to compliment Eddie's on the left.

You're right guys, my apologies - freaking out wasn't quite the word I should have used.

With that said, if I'm just analyzing this past game, I personally felt the central defense needed some leadership. I think the midfield played well, but was unfortunate when Klejstan came in for Eddie Johnson. I think EJ needed a lot more time, but I sided with commentary at the time that the humidity/conditioning was a factor for some players.

I'm excited to see what becomes. I hope Zusi gets more opportunity - he is one of those wingers we are needing in the dynamic. Gatt would be entertaining, but I just don't know enough about him - he's apparently very fast (and energetic) though.
