The US is playing in St. Paul on Wednesday. The high that day will be 8 degrees. Probably be around 0 by the end of the game. Glad I didn’t get tickets. The couch sounds much more comfortable.

Tim Weah is out against Canada because he can't cross the border into Canada due to his vaccination status.Comment

Re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
So ya...2-0!
Canada actually could make the world cup!
Still 4 matches left I believe, but I doubt they'd finish worse than 4th even if they lose every game from now on. And 4th is still qualifying for the inter confederation playoffs.
I think 1 more win should do it in terms of securing the top 3 seed.Comment

Re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
Two things…one, who scheduled a World Cup qualifier during the championship round of the NFL Playoffs?
Second, Berhalter is drunk. You lost 0-2, but it was a “dominant” performance? The xG stat says otherwise (1.17 to Canada’s 0.94). That’s not very dominant looking to me.

Re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
My favorite USMNT quote I read was
“Gregg Berhalter, the man with 3 G’s and zero clues”.
For the love of all things footy, please stop playing Zardes. He offers nothing up top. For all the misses Perreira had the other night at least he was in the box. Zardes drifts wide and crowds out Weah, Pulisic, and Aaronsen.
Congrats Canadians! I have a lot of Jamaican family up there freezing their a**es off lol

Re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
So it looks like El Salvador might no-show Canada at home and give up a 3-0 forfeit. What a huge break for Canada. 3 points down there is never a guarantee, and certainly winning by 3 isn't.
EDIT: Welp, never mind, they're gonna play. You never know with CONCACAF though, things could change again lolLast edited by ImTellinTim; 02-02-2022, 04:38 PM.Comment

Pulisic was in for about 2 seconds as a sub before a Honduras player jumped onto his legs from behind lol
And he immediately scores. Have that
Honduras has looked like they want absolutely nothing to do with this game.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 02-02-2022, 09:01 PM.Comment

Re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
Seeing a lot of **** on social media about how the game shouldn’t have been played in Minnesota. A load of nonsense. Honduras regularly schedules games in 90 degree weather and humidity.
Gamesmanship worked there.

Re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
It was a must win, US players looked like they were largely unaffected. Honduras was slow and two of their players refused to continue after the first half. US won easily 3-0. Looks to me like the strategy worked and we should continue doing such things.Comment
