Amazed that we got £25 million for him. Pleased with the Pato deal, like Brav said, looks like Remy and Falcao both could be gone so hopefully Traore and maybe Bamford get chances, although I've seen alot of talk of him going to a Championship club.

Sounds like Cahill asked to leave and they told him no. Unhappy with not getting starts recently, and that they bought Miazga.

19 year old American CB. Probably the best American defensive prospect to date. Very high ceiling, but still just a prospect, highly unlikely he's being bought for the first team.

Supposedly he's pretty good with distribution from the back which our CBs, minus JT, lack although the last CB we got who could pick a pass couldn't really defend a pass.

Rumors that we are going to try to poach Hughes at the end of the season. Interesting to say the least.

This is kind of where we've landed ourselves. All the "top" managers are either unavailable or have already worked here. We are at the point now where we basically need to gamble on a manager that hasn't reached that top level yet. Rodgers, AVB, Hughes, Emery, Pardew (yes I said it).

Those are all managers capable of reaching greater heights, we just need to pick one and hope for the best.

Personally I'd say one of the first three. Or we can just get Juande Ramos.

Sky is reporting New York Red Bulls defender Matt Miazga is having a medical at Chelsea.

He'll probably be loaned to Vitesse Arnhem tomorrow.

It all depends on what we do with Cahill. He wants more PT so he can solidify his spot for the Euros. If he leaves Miazga will probably stay and play the Paps role just to get acclimated with training and what to expect at this level.

Hopefully these Falcao to China rumors are true. It would actually be good for both parties.

Zero chance he leaves because we need him to count as homegrown. I'm not sure he's much of an upgrade over Skrtel or Sahko. Less injury prone though and he does have great posture.

Papy is already gone to Werder Bremen on loan. Hopefully this Miazga kid can be a good squad player this season and Cahill stays. I understand why Cahill would want to go though, with the Euros and everything in the summer.
