Bane was a January signing in 08, so after Jose's first stint.

I get what you mean, but like I said, I think this team is more of Jose making the best of it than a full blown Jose team.

As for Saturday, I think it's clear the players are partly at fault, I don't think anybody at the club is blameless in this whole debacle. Also, the players on the field this weekend were all the players that have been playing like crap, and now there is a new manager so maybe they were just trying to impress Hiddink.

Haven't finished reading it myself, but its a great read so far, a pretty long one too:
The long read: José Mourinho’s whole career seems to be one long revenge plot. Despite his great success, his various reigns have all ended in spectacular discord. So where does he go from here?

Just finished it. I found it very interesting. But then again I don't know jack about Mou's past before this article. And I didn't really start following anything outside the Budesliga or MLS until last year. So I don't know a lot of the history of the sport in general. And I find a lot of it fascinating. So maybe its not a good read for a long time supporter of his.

That's a great read, especially the theories about the Jose vs Pep relationship. I hate to see him go, even more so to United but if that works out, along with Pep choosing Man City than Manchester Derby's will must watch TV. Barca vs Real is as big as you get BUT could you imagine those 2 in the same city?

Back to the article I believe this line sums our season:

“Mourinho is a winner, but in order to win he guarantees a level of tension that becomes a problem.”

Chelsea team: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Fabregas, Matic; Willian, Oscar, Pedro, Diego Costa-via ESPN.

Matic is such trash and has been so for the better part of a year.

Makes me wonder what lineup we are planning on using vs United.

So Costa is suspended, Remy is injured and Falcao is still not match fit.

Ideally this means Traore up front, but realistically I think it will be one of Hazard/Pedro/Oscar.

I love Hazard, but he hasn't scored in 26 games and has never played the false 9 particularly well, I'd hope we go a different route.

It's Hazard, Traore is on the bench. It would have been Remy's chance but he had to get injured. I hope that Traore gets a run off the bench though along with either RLC or Kenedy.

Or we could do none of those things

If I was Traore/RLC/Kenedy sitting on that bench watching an 18 year old United player get subbed in while a 19 year old plays every game for them, and then have to watch these "starters" put in performances like that; I'd probably just want to leave.

Musonda is considered the most talented Belgian player in his age group by a mile, and he is just rotting in our U21 team. Doesn't even make our bench while watching his "first team" counterparts (Oscar and Cesc) put in shocker after shocker.

We are going to lose all these players, and just like Lukaku, Sturridge and Bertrand, they will shine on a team that actually let's them play.

not trying to add insult to injury...

but everytime I think of Chelsea's struggles I think of Lukaku.

And the points mentioned above are telling... That being said, the 18 and 19 year olds looked rather bad for United Monday...imo

The fullback with the long name played fine for the most part, and Martial has been one of United's best players.

As for Lukaku, most Chelsea fans could have told you this would happen. It was always a bit silly to give up on a player that young and promising.

                            That was fun

The last 3 matches have proven that you have to play Mikel alongside of either Cesc or Matic. Neither one of those guys can cover defensively and Mike allows them to go forward without having to worry about the defensive responsibilities.

Also, Diego has been really good in his last 2 matches. Working extremely hard, as did all of our guys today in the 1st half, and getting into the box. Let's keep it up agains S****horpe next weekend.

That was probably the best they looked as a unit all season.
