Cahill was surprisingly good with his distribution from the back today.

I rather enjoyed the Eden dribbling cameo at the end too.

Giroud did nothing to warrant not starting Sunday. Emerson was solid but unspectacular. I thought he sent in some good crosses.

I actually thought Morata had a decent game overall. He was positive, ran the entire time, was a pest to the Burnley defenders and got in their faces a lot.

He generally seems to do everything right aside from the scoring part. His confidence in front of goal seems very very low right now, but once he gets that sorted he will be very dangerous.

We've thought the same about a different Spaniard years ago...

But seriously, it's been a rocky season for him but no reason he can't be a great scorer for us.

Yeah I’m not ready to kick the tires on him unless we somehow manage to get an elite striker (highly unlikely with no UCL footy). I actually liked how they played off each other vs Burnley, especially considering we had no creative passers in the XI apart from Pedro who actually was decent.

Side note: I took over Chelsea in my FIFA CM and they had Mbappe already. One can dream right?????

Pretty solid 90 minutes setting up another FA Cup Final. Unlucky to not score in the 1st half but some nice footwork by Giroud on the 1st goal. Good to see Morata back on the scoresheet although he could have had a hat trick.

Let’s keep the momentum going and push Spurs even though it’s still unlikely we catch ‘em. Hopefully grab some silverware to finish the season too.

So what did you guys think of Willian heading straight to the lockeroom after being substituted?

I hurled a few expletives at the tv when his number was up. He’s been putting in good performances for the better part of 3 months now and he’s always sacrificed or sometimes out of the 11 completely.

I understand the defensive switch but go for that 2nd goal first. Soto weren’t really doing anything positive going forward until they were already down 2-0.

The long slow walk off the pitch at Wembley was and straight to the tunnel was a not so subtle F U to Conte.

Considering that Pedro ended up going on, I don't really see why Willian was subbed off either.

Pedro wasn't as bad as he had been, but Willian was better during the game for sure.

Forgot to comment but I thought Emerson has been great in the few minutes he's been given.

Legitimate competition for Alonso is probably a good thing, plus he looked absolutely ragged by the end of the season last year so having a quality replacement means he can get better rest.

Yeah I thought he was solid too. A little timid going forward in 1v1 situations but I don’t think he put in one bad cross in those 2 games. Another 3-6 months for his knee to fully get back and yeah, he’ll definitely push Alonso next year.

Speaking of fullbacks, i saw we are “interested” in Hysaj from Napoli. Who knows, it’s more than likely one of those “Get a new manager (Serri) and he immediately signs one of his former players” type of thing.

If we do get someone like Sarri or Jardim, I really hope the board commits to some kind of plan. Otherwise it’s pointless bringing in that kind of manager.

Agreed Brahv. We need some stability and a plan moving forward.

3-5-2 today with Willian on the bench. Let's grab the 3 points and hope for Watford to steal some points from Spurs on Monday.

It wasn’t pretty but 3 points and closed the gap to 2. First half we looked really dangerous until the monsoon came. It really hurt our link-up play with a lot of our guys slipping all over the place, mainly Eden.

Classy build-up on the goal and a lovely finish by Cesc. Who knows, maybe he can turn things around with his retro terrible Arsenal haircut.

Defense was pretty solid and Thibo had probably his best game in some time. A lot of those shots he saved were pretty tough considering the conditions.

Anyway, keep the momentum up fellas.

Baka continues to just look lost out there and we're in May almost. Kante basically at times does work for at least 2 midfielders, at times even at 3.

Conte's subs continue to make me do this:

Hoping for some help today from Watford but Liverpool game upcoming worries me.

I actually thought Baka was slightly better.

I still think he will come good once he gets a bit more confidence, which he seems to be gaining little by little.
