Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Looks like we are starting to look around for managers.
Originally just crap sources but there is a mild amount of smoke now. I mean, I don't think any of us saw Conte being around past next summer, but it's still disappointing.
Names currently are Carlo, Allegri, Tuchel, Sarri, Luis Enrique and Fonseca. Also, Brendan Rogers always comes up.
Honestly anything at this point is a risk. We've already gone through all the top managers so now we either go with Carlo (who honestly I absolutely love, but think would be a mistake this time around), or we take a risk and hope it works out. Of all those names, the only one I really wouldn't want is Enrique, I really don't rate him at all. The rest of them have their pros and cons, most of the cons just being relative inexperience at the highest levels.
The interesting thing about all those names is that, bar Allegri, they are all pretty attacking managers. Not sure Allegri would want to leave, Italians don't often like to leave Italy and Juve is a top 5 club in Europe. Simeone's name is bound to come up as well, but he has always said that he wants to coach Inter if he ever leaves Atleti.
Tbh, and not even in a meme-y way, I think BR is a pretty interesting choice I know I've said that before anyway. He has history with the club, plays attacking football and is very adaptive. Hard to accurately judge his defensive nous, since the club he was at before is a known defensive train wreck for quite a number of years.
Personally, if we are going to take a chance and hope that someone works out, I don't really see why BR would be any more of a risk than Sarri/Fonseca/Tuchel.
What do you guys think?Comment

So I haven't posted in a while because my pops is in town visiting so I decided to record and wait to watch these games with him:
Arsenal
Norwich
Arsenal
Leicester
What a mistake that was... I see him maybe once a year now and 3 0-0 draws in a row...
Anyways, we got problems boys...

Looks like we've made contact with West Ham, being reported by Law/Ducker so I guess Andy Caroll might be legitimately happening.Comment

Let me tell you. Talking yourself into Andy Carroll really sucks.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
I get that he's a Llorente stand-in, and that he has uses, but there are so few upsides to this I really am not sure why we aren't going after other strikers.
It's not like Andy is the ONLY target man available in the market.
Hell, if we wanted a big, powerful center forward; Balotelli has worked with Conte and Conte likes him, he's in great form and is even out of contract in summer which means he'd be quite cheap. He also has technical ability that rivals even that of Morata. If we are taking a punt on someone, I don't see why we wouldn't try someone like Balo who has a legitimate upside if it works out. If Andy works out, we just have a dude who is good in the air and is a good Plan B, but right now our Plan A isn't even working.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
We desperately need cover/rotation for Alonso, and Palmieri is quite a talent so sure why not.
I don't think Sandro is going to happen, but any one of Telles/Palmieri/Shaw would be pretty good pickups I think.
Or we could just go all in for Sessegnon.Comment
