Usually it's just at St James that we have problems with Newcastle.

Still concerning how bad we are offensively without Hazard, although with a ref that's not completely incompetent we'd have had a couple penalties.

Glad we gave some people a bit of rest though, and our upcoming fixtures give us a chance to hit good form heading into the second half of the season.

        He’s completely unplayable.

I definitely love Hazard more than several of my family members.

This game is the perfect example for why most reasonable Chelsea fans won't hold anything against Hazard when he leaves for RM next summer. He's quite literally too good for our team more often than not. We should have won that game by 3 or 4 goals but we didn't, because we couldn't even finish a very small sandwich.

The worst part about Hazard leaving is that we've had multiple chances during his time here to go get 2 other superstars to play up top with him and really create a new Chelsea dynasty, but elected not to do that for reasons presumably.

A draw vs Atletico ultimately isn't the end of the world, but it just feels like we've been regularly skipping out on making our mark in Europe ever since Munich.

I'll watch the full match tomorrow at work, but I started watching in the second half and oof, Bakayoko looked miserable. As soon as they showed Pedro, I knew Bakayoko had to be coming off. (I have to watch with the sound off)

Baka's play style is actually very similar to Ramires, and so is his role. A player like that will have lots of ups and downs because their technique is not as good as the rest of the team (Ramires was definitely more technically gifted than Baka though).

He's also on a new team with a new role and a lot more pressure etc.

Baka is going through a bit of a down period right now, but I think overall we will end up being pretty happy with him.

But yeah, he was pretty bad this game. Drinkwater should definitely spend some time starting over Baka for a little while.

We also rushed Baka back quickly from his knee injury because we were so thin in midfield.

Like you said Brahv, we should have won going away. Even late when Willian came on we had several chances on counters that we ultimately flubbed.

Oh well, we wait for Thursday to see how the draw plays out.

Yeah, nearly forgot about that. Baka was still injured when he played vs Spurs.

Glad Alonso got a break today but Baka definitely needs to be next, especially considering Drinkwater has barely made a mistake in the minutes he's gotten so far.

You can draw one of Barca, PSG, or Besiktas in the knockout round. So pretty much guaranteed Besiktas right?

We haven't had our annual crapfest with PSG yet, so it will be them.

Batshuayi must be on the way out in January is he? Morata out of the lineup today and Conte goes with a front 3 of Pedro, Willian and Hazard. He doesn't even trust him enough against Huddersfield?

He’s still getting over an injury suffered while under the guiding light of Roberto effing Martinez but yeah, I thought he was going to start today as well.

Might as well go for Vardy, we seem to be doing well with Leicester players.
