It looks like Drogba will be back next season on a one-year deal. I hope that means Lukaku stays, he would benefit from Drogba greatly.

Good lord Boga, that kid is ridiculous.

Also, the more I see Bamford the more I like him, I think he has a legit shot at first team action in the next few years.

We have zero reasons to sell him and plenty of reasons to keep him. He'd be a fantastic 2nd striker and, being a huge fan of the club, I would think that this would be ok with him. He's never actually said he deserves to be the uncontested starter for Chelsea, just that he wants the chance to fight for a place.

I still expect to see him in Chelsea blue this season.
I can't see Lukaku feeling okay with coming back to Chelsea to challenge for a starting spot with Costa but I could be wrong. That kid needs regular games at this point and Chelsea cannot offer him that at the moment, he will either go on loan....again or or be sold. The latter would be disappointing for you Chelsea fans.

2nd striker at Chelsea plays well over 30 games per season, we can offer him plenty of games. Also, any top team has more than one top striker, there will be competition for a number one spot at any good team he would join.

I'm almost positive they are bringing Drogba back specifically to entice Lukaku to stay. Lukaku also doesn't have nearly as bad of an attitude as he's made out to have. Most of his interviews are poorly miss translated or even intentionally. This kid is supposed to be on vacation in Belgium right now relaxing, and instead is training with his old team (Anderlecht) so he can be in top physical condition for his first Chelsea training session of the summer. Not even first game, just training, I haven't seen any concrete evidence that this kid has a poor attitude.

Lastly, I doubt we'd sell him unless somebody offered 30m for him.

I know right. Boga is insane. He's better than Salab IMO. He should be in the team next year.

He's still very young though, as an American I'm always hesitant about throwing teenagers into high pressure situations like that.

For every Messi there are 10 Bojans.

My dream would be that Bamford lands a low-table EPL loan with Boga to a Championship side.

Lukaku will be fine. He needs to play with high quality players that will raise his game while playing in the occasional big game. As strong as Costa is he's never gone through the rigors of an EPL season and between minor knocks and the inevitable suspension Lukaku will be called upon. If he can't beat out Torres and an aging Drogba for the #2 spot than someone else can have him.

Looks like Piazon has been loaned to Frankfurt. I wish I had Gol TV but to see him play but Comcast dropped it when we picked up BeIn.

I'm loving the young depth we have with guys like Romeu & Van Ginkel plus defenders like Kalas, Omerou, Atsu, etc... People give us crap, and rightfully so, for spending big cash on players but we've made some excellent purchases over the last 3-4 years. We got Courtious for 7 mil, Atsu for 3.5, Salah 11, Dave for 7, Cahil - 7, Bamford 1.5, etc...

I read an interesting take on Torres which basically said that somehow he's handicapped us financially (which has cost us trophies in the short-term) but he's forced the club to re-evaluate their transfer policy and think long-term which has resulted in promising youngsters + profits on players like Mata, KDB, and Luiz.

If Boga can adapt physically he'd tear up the Championship, would be great to watch.

Been watching Boga with the youth team for the past couple of season and he is turning into one of my favorite players. It's been fun watching him, Lew Baker, Izzy Brown and Bamford playing with the first team this preseason. I've been actually excited to watch the games and can't wait for the game Sunday when more of the World Cup players start playing again.

Costa and Cesc looked great today, so did Salah.

Digging the way Bamford has been playing as well.

Looks like Lewis Baker will be with the 1st team this year. Most likely because he adds one more to the HG rule. Always loved this goal: <iframe frameborder="0" width="698" height="503" scrolling="no" id="molvideoplayer" title="MailOnline Embed Player" src="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/embed/video/1106868.html" ></iframe>

Zola's backheel has always been one of my favorite goals and I put Lew's right up there, he made it look so natural.
