Kante called up to France squad.
“I haven’t spoken to [Lampard]. N’Golo has taken time to recover, he was back in training last week, in their squad for the Champions League. He is back to full fitness. If a player is available for his club, it is normal that they be part of this squad.” -
Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
I absolutely love Rudi but his injury record at Roma worries me.
He’s been sort of alright so far at Chelsea, though it’s still his third major injury since he’s been here.
Seen some people say we should just go in for a top CB next summer but who is even available? Also, I honestly think that if Tomori keeps improving at the rate he is, we won’t need to spend big on a top CB.Comment

People keep saying we should bring Ake back. No thanks

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
I liked Ake but if you consider Azpilicueta now a CB which is likely then Ake would be the 6th best CB on the squad.
Also good win today. Not sure how much it will be talked about but I feel break out game for Reece James. Maybe my Blues hat is a little too tight but oh man... He has been taken notes from Kante because he took Zaha out of this game. Now he did make some mistakes... Biggest being the one where he tried to get too fancy and gave ball back right by box but that's inexperience.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Seriously, how good was Pulisic’s control in/around the box on Saturday. The ball just seemed glued to his feet.
Would have loved to get at City this upcoming weekend but alas, International Fball here again to ruin things.
Happy for Zouma to get called back up to France. After his rough start he’s been stellar for us. Once again proving Mourinho right in his assessment.

Also how hard is it going to be for Rudiger to get back in starting 11 (once FINALLY healthy)? The way the Zouma and Tomori partnership is going it as of now isn't going to happen.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Yeah I’m definitely very interested in the return of Rudi and RLC, both have people in phenomenal form in their positions currently.
I do think that if Ruben is healthy we won’t see much of Barkley at the very least.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
I mean... I don’t know anyone who wants to see more of Barkley now unless it’s a cup match in which he turns into Lamps.
Also just dropping this lovely picture in here of Kante riding a bike.
Rumor has it that he literally rode it til the wheels fell off. Then he put it on his back and ran back to training.

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Good to get back to winning ways yesterday. The goal by Trezeguet for Villa was a mess but apart from ~15 mins we looked really good, just unlucky as it seems we bring the best out of every keeper. Heaton looked like prime Buffon yesterday.
I think that's going to be our go-to lineup with Dave at LB and James at RB, Kova, Kante, Jorginho rotating based on who/where we're playing. Pulisic and Willian as the preferred wingers and Mount in the CAM role, dropping back to do his due diligence when defending.
It's kind of crazy to think this considering we've seen him for the USMNT for nearly 4 years now but Pulisic's control in tight spaces is Hazard'esque but he's probably a better finisher than Eden considering he's more selfish. He's just missing Eden's strength and adorableness.
Even at 30/31, there aren't any players that can match Willian's acceleration over 2-3 strides. When he gets it on the far side, just outside the box you know what he's going to do.
Slow dribble
step over/hesitation
push the ball out in front
gone
Everton early on Saturday. No more Steven Naismith to ruin it!Comment
