Has anyone played Top Eleven Be a Football Manager on Facebook?

If so, what's it like? Fun? Tedious? Boring? etc.

Can anyone explain to me why it seems as I'd when two high profile teams are playing a friendly at a neutral site it appears as if nobody plays defense. Always a ton of goals. For example, premier league teams playing a game in the us.

Same reason no one plays D in the NBA Allstar game.

As a Rangers fan....this was very saddening and shows how much turmoil is still going on at the club...

            http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-0...mediately.html

Walter Smith, who won 21 trophies in two spells as manager of Rangers Football Club, has resigned as chairman of the Scottish soccer club with immediate effect, the Glasgow-based club said in a statement to the Stock Exchange.

Smith quit after a period of in-fighting at the club, the British Broadcasting Corporation said, without saying where it got the information. Smith, appointed as chairman in May, is expected to make a statement about his reasons for leaving, the BBC said.

Smith’s resignation came hours after Chief Executive Officer Craig Mather said calls for his own departure were ill-timed and ill-informed, the BBC said.

Charles Green, a former CEO who led the rescue of the club last year after it went into administration, has returned to the club as a paid consultant, the BBC said.
Have a feeling the return of Charles Green is what spurred this on. Green and current manager (and Walter's protege) Ally McCoist never saw eye-to-eye last season, and the first thing Green said when he first came back to the club was comment that McCoist wasn't safe even if he won the Scottish League One crown and that this was the worst Ranger's squad in the history of Rangers, which caused McCoist to lash out at Green.

Didn't help though that Rangers proceeded to bow out of the first round of the Scottish League Cup.

I think the 'Gers really needed someone like Smith at the moment. I don't think it'll be long before Ally McCoist leaves, either.

On the plus side, maybe McCoist could return to the "Question of Sport" panel. QoS has really gone downhill since he left, and his late theatrics in the buzzer round are sorely missed.

Anyone see what's going on in Anzhi? Their owner fired their manager, who was on the job for two matches and transfer listed every player on the club.

Just curious if a lot of the OSers in the soccer forum have Twitter. I tend to tweet a lot during matches and about football in general and it'd be cool to take banter on there as well.

Twitter handle is in my sig.

The fact that they bought back Samba is lol worthy. I guess he's great in Russia but they should of ran away with the money QPR overspent on him.
