If they were top of the table by 10 points, or even a 100% lock to finish top 2, I would agree more with you. But goal differential matters, and they were coming off a shutout loss. Can't help it if the other team gets two sent off.

Yes the goal difference matters but we're talking about a team that's down to 9 players from the 28min. Come on. You need to show some respect. It's not even 11vs10. It's 11vs9 and it's RMA against a low profile team. This is certainly not a result that will make RMA more famous in the football world. It's quite the opposite.Comment

In a game where people lose jobs over the smallest of margins you'll never convince me that what Real Madrid was wrong. If Rayo didn't want Real to score 10 maybe they should've done something different. These are full-grown adults, not kids, it's not Madrid's fault their opponents went down two guys then decided to defend poorly.Support Local Sports

Rayo deserved that. They gave up. What was RMA supposed to do, just stand around with them for 60 or so minutes? Also it was their own fault they were down to 9 men. The first red was horrendous. Those type of tackles should also get you suspended for multiple matches. Then the other guy knew better already on a yellow. I don't blame RMA at all. In fact I would have liked to see CR7 also get a hat trick so they had a hat trick of hat tricks. Then anyone else score another goal to give them record of 12 goals.

And it's not like just any random team put in that position could have scored 10. Real Madrid just happen to be stacked with goal-scorers. Barca could have done that much damage, and possibly Bayern, but that's about it.Comment
