Re: The Beautiful Game Thread
I think you're referring to the one he had against Arsenal. He saved a header from Theo in the center of the 6 yard box by diving from the near post to the center. Another one to look at is one he had around April or May against a free kick from Marco Reus. He literally stopped the ball near the post on the goal line with one hand. He's incredible.
Found both!

That's just plain ridiculous. Are you sure that's right? Although Real have tons of money to waste so maybe it is true.Comment

Re: The Beautiful Game Thread
Here's a fun time-waster. Pick the player based only on their transfer path.
I've played it 3 times, and you get a couple repeats. But my best score is still my first attempt - 80 points.
Alright, new score to beat is 100 (with 1 repeat).Last edited by ImTellinTim; 01-13-2016, 02:18 PM.Comment

It's because the thing is timed, it just keeps going until you run out of time.
My best so far is 115Comment

Re: The Beautiful Game Thread
A bit long, but it's always fascinating for me to learn more about what happens on the training ground. This is by Frans Hoek, current MUFC GK coach and has been with LVG at just about every club he's gone to. Definitely dives into thinking about what you do on the pitch and not just relying on instinct.

I enjoy his approach, a bit nostalgic for me as my old youth coach in Indonesia was a dutch coach, same accent and same approach to the game. Gotta love the inside the ropes feel of the training session as he commentates on why he's doing what he's doing. I need to rewatch these Masterclass videos, thanks!Comment
