    Re: The Beautiful Game Thread

Emotional day yesterday was. Everyone in our house was in tears. My mum and dad both lost mates there and for the 96 to finally be exonerated is such a relief. Its hard not to feel an immense amount of sadness too, not only for the loss of life that day and in 1993, but for the parents and family who never saw their children and spouses deemed innocent and that it took 27 years of fighting for us to reach this day. It is monumental and the fight embodies our city, we never give up even when those with the power are doing their best to tie back our hands. Lest we forget that the government today is complicit in this massive, heinous crime as part of a government wide campaign to bury and isolate the city of Liverpool.

Justice is only half done. Exoneration is one step, the next step is to make sure the culpable; Duckenfield, McKenzie etc are punished for their crimes. The removal of knighthoods and esteemed titles from those who did their best to smear the names of the 96 for so many years with their complicity and lies. I hope the CPS has no mercy on them.

Celtic all but clinch the title with a 3-1 victory over Hearts...Celtic brass show Ronny Deila the door.

To be fair, winning the league without Rangers in it means very little. Losing to them in the semi is unforgivable also.

Oh, trust me, as a Rangers fan, I said "Whelp, he's fired no matter what after losing that match."

Well, since you beat them, you better go and bounce Hibs in the final. If you don't then Hearts supporters will lose half their song book. Hibs haven't won a Scottish Cup since 1902 and Hearts like to remind them of that fact.

Two European champions have played in the second tier in England?

The first time two European champions have met in a league other than the top tier of any nation actually. But close enough - nice work.

Nottingham and Brian Clough still amaze me. Back to back at that.

Man, if AFC Wimbledon vs MK Dons ever happens, it might have to be in an empty stadium lol.

Did they play in the FA Cup a couple years ago? I seem to remember that happening.
