Aside from a complete overhaul of how the schedule is structured, probably just add a couple more mid-week games in place of international weekend ones, I'd guess.

Extending the season would work, you could, for example, have those early games be home games for cities who have better weather. But does that mess with the competitive balance of the league, with some teams having more home games further into the season? Where, logically, the team may very well have gelled and come together more. Does that punish some cities for having better weather?

We have Olympic Stadium as a defence against that.

That aside, they could tighten up the schedule to make up for the international breaks and not lose many (or any) games. A good first step would be to make sure that teams are playing the same number of games in the same time period. While it hasn't been quite as bad this year (Impact have two games in hand over other teams around them in the standings) there was a point last season where there was a FIVE match gap between Impact and some teams in the East. That's just ridiculous, and they can't blame the threat of weather since they played more games indoors last season because Stade Saputo wasn't done yet.

Just came back from visiting Montreal this past weekend. Beautiful city! I have a greater appreciation for the French language too. I went through the Biodome and noticed the stadium practically right next door. Wish I could've caught a game.

LA Galaxy unlucky to lose to Colorado. The youngsters on that squad as well as Colorado show a lot of promise though. McBean, Villareal, Zardes could be a strong combo. Jimenez is an extremely underrated player in my opinion as well. Klute, and Powers I wouldn't be surprised to see in the January camp. Especially Klute being a left back. Shane O' Neil could be a great defender for the USMNT someday as well.

Was really hoping for at least a point, but missing 4 guys to international duty is just crazy. Sarvas was our workhorse and was unlucky to have one of his shots hit the crossbar and come down instead of over the line.

Zardes frustrates me. He gets in very good spots and is a general nuisance to the defense, but his final decision making just isn't there yet. Having Keane and Donovan guide him is good though.

And of course Buddle gets the game winner. We seem to always get bit by former players for us. Awful defense on that goal. Nobody stepped up to him.

Movin' on up! Sounders up to second with a huge game next weekend with RSL. Win and we're in the drivers seat for the SS!

National Call ups have hurt, but happy to see the depth with 6 points while EJ & Dempsey are gone (and Evans hurt).

Can't wait for Friday....CLink will be awesome.

huge game this weekend. If I recall correctly, last time we played you, you guys were on a little hot streak and had to put you in your place. Now you come in with another hot streak and hopefully put you in check again. Champions league match on Wed won't do us much favors though.

Rapids really need to capitalize on one of the set pieces, they've been getting tons of them in the 1st half, but no result.

very intense game tonight between LA and Seattle. Had both Donovan and Dempsey played, i think we get the win. Dempsey still hasn't found his form in Sea.

correct call on the offside. Tough way to lose. We needs points. The west is really close.

Great game today. Not much controversy at the end with that penalty, he was clearly offside. Regardless though, it was a fun finish to a very nicely paced match.
