It isn't any All-Stars players fault, because they weren't trying to injure Bayern Munich's players. Some guys were out there simply playing to win, other than a couple of hard tackles during the game, nothing out of the ordinary occurred. I've seen people trying to defend Peps actions all over, and they say, "well the MLS guys shouldnt of been playing that hard because its a friendly"...Like, so? Should they not have played to win and simply let Bayern Munich control and win the game? And had that actually happened those same people and the MLS critics will use that to spew their junk and refer to MLS and its players as a amateur tier league where old International players go to "retire", because they "couldn't compete with Bayern Munich". Well, we competed and we even won. And that's Pep's real problem, not that his players got hurt, because they didn't, but moreso because a team full of amateurs and retiree's, beat his team full of World Cup winners.

Yeah. My bad. It was in the MLS gameplan to purposely injure their guys.

In other news, bad day in LA. LD announced his retirement and our player deal falls through and now we're out a defender with some potential in Opare. Just like a couple years ago when the Lampard deal fell through.

I know it's against Chivas, but Timbers looking good after the All-Star break in the first half. Valeri's goal was awesome.

Just a garbage move by him.

Otherwise it was a very entertaining all-star game.

Time for another Cascadia Cup matchup. Both teams need a win here desperately. Go Timbers!

Go Sounders! They just have to play good defense and not collapse to get the win now.

Sounders wins are good. Four goals are good.

I know that you are excited about that signing. But a blind draw between New England and Chicago to see where he would play? Only in MLS. I'd like to see them start to let the league off the leash soon.

New CBA this offseason, expect a ton of changes. I think the allocation order will go away, the cap will double, and you may see more DPs.

But I could be way wrong.

Yeah they want bigger name players and more Americans here but if I had a choice I wouldn't sign with MLS and not know where I'm playing. It's not surprising that foreigners don't want to come here.

I don't get a lot of what the MLS does. There's allocation orders for days, but no one seemed to block Portland's Ridgewell and Adi transfers. I think there needs to be a simplification and transparency initiative.

It's a situation they didn't have a rule for (with Dempsey/Bradley, there weren't multiple teams "willing/able" to take them on, or multiple teams the players wanted to play for), so blind draw is the best way to do it. I've got no problem with the mechanism.
