They should be considering seven of the 12 teams in each division make the playoffs.

How high they finish depends on the health of Altidore and Drew Moor. Good luck with that.

As a Man United supporter though its hard watching Rooney like that. Might as well put a chair out there for him but that's just my humble opinion.

Regardless, had a great time. First MLS game since the Metro Stars and the wacky "overtime breakaway" shootout nonsense from back in the day and seeing Stoichkov for thr Fire when visiting Chicago many moons ago (think he was there for Chicago).

Yeah man it’s an awesome stadium with some good support locally. The pitch looks incredible in person.

So they're in ahead of Sacramento, with their massive commitment? I mean, I always knew it was between those two but somehow I assumed Sactown had the advantage.

That's what it looks like. MLS seems to just not like Sacramento. As someone without an intimate knowledge of this, just based on what I've heard, of the top 4 expansion candidates, I'd rank their likelihood of a team as 1. St. Louis, 2. Las Vegas, 3. Charlotte, 4. Sacramento. I could be very wrong though as there is also speculation that Sacramento might be announced at the ASG as well, those rumours are quieter though.

Unreal goal by Jozy Altidore last night. Got to be a candidate for MLS Goal of the Year.

I was at the game last night (supporting my LAFC) and that goal left me speechless. As the best player on my teams rival, I hate him but no one can deny how unbelievable he is on the pitch.

I watched that game. Just an incredible goal and a great hat trick.

The post-game fireworks display for the Rapids game this weekend will be cancelled due to...confirmation of fleas carrying the plague infesting the local prairie dog population.

What a howler by Westberg. Just another match this season where I felt we played well enought to get three points but didn't get it done.

Minnesota really won 2-0 at LAFC. I still can't believe it.

I'll be in Seattle for the last match of the season. Looking like it's going to have huge playoff implications.

Four points separate second place from eighth place in the West. That's nuts.

4-6 games left for all teams. As mentioned, West is crazy with it being 4 points between 2-8.

In the east, 1-3 is all but locked up, but the final 4 playoff spots are still open. DC is in 4th, but played an extra game over the 5-7 seeds.

There's a 2 point difference between 7 and 8, but 8 seed played an extra game.

With 1-3 being so good in the east, those 4-5 spots become real valuable.
