I don't think its confirmed yet. Apparently the offer is for $12 million, according to always reliable Twitter. That's a lot of coin. They're going to need a lot more than him to turn it around -- the defense was a catastrophe last season.

It's official now: Insigne has signed a four-year deal and will join TFC when the Italian season ends.

Former MVP Sebastian Giovinco, now 35, is on Toronto FC's training camp roster. He does not have a contract and would have to go through the MLS allocation process before he could sign with them. But there have been rumours of him returning since last summer.

This could be a real interesting season for TFC

He is signing for Sampdoria instead by the looks of it.

Yeah reports were Toronto couldn't get the proper spot in the allocation order.

Yep, he has signed a six-month contract for Sampdoria so in theory he could come back at the end of the Italian season. I suspect that's unlikely. There were reports that he didn't look great in training camp which kind of makes sense since he hasn't played games since last spring. Not sure how he was going to fit budget-wise into the team since he definitely wasn't coming back as a DP (currently we're over the limit with four).

Toronto was second in the allocation order so I'm not sure if that was a big hurdle. They have since traded that away for general allocation money. (Ah, the fun of MLS rules ...).

I'm hoping the long running Jozy Altidore saga is near a conclusion. There were reports a week ago he was going to be joining New England but nothing official. I think TFC needs to buy him out first. Don't think that will be fun negotiations.

Just watched Zardes miss from about 5 yards on an open goal vs RBNY. Why he he still gets capped for the USMNT is beyond me.

Because we have no strikers. It’s by far our weakest position

Sounders play Pumas tonight in a "winner takes all" CONCAFAC Champions League game. If Seattle wins, they will be the first team in MLS to win this competition.

68,000 people are expected to watch the game. First leg was a 2-2 game that featured 3 penalties and was relatively even.

The city is very excited about this, and I am too. Unfortunately, I can only watch the first half, but I hope it goes well.

Congratulations to them on finally getting it done for MLS. First team to win it since they changed formats in 2008. Long time coming.

Considering all that Seattle has accomplished, they're got to be considered the best franchise in the league.

Meanwhile, my Toronto FC keeps losing to Cincinnati. We look horrible even in our wins. Lorenzo Insigne can't come quick enough to give us some hope

One of my friends was at the game and was sending pictures. Looked like a fun time. He was kind of near the away supporters and said they sang for the entire 90 mins.

                              Is this actually happening?

Messi to Miami in 2023, and he'll also get a 35% stake in the team.

Toronto FC has allowed a goal in 28 consecutive league matches. Talk about ugly. How is that even possible?
