There's a lot of pictures about the Championship in terms of income, expenditure, debt etc produced by @SwissRamble as the accounts for everyone's 2012/13 season are out. I'd post them but there are a lot of pictures, I'm not sure the best way to link them other than the twitter account!

Re: Official 2013-14 Football League Thread
Haven't posted here in a while, but I can't say enough about the job Stuart Gray has done since taking over Sheffield Wednesday back in early December. When Dave Jones was sacked after the loss to Blackpool we were bottom of the table with 11 points, since then we've gone 10-4-7 in the league, bringing us up to 15th, 13 points clear of relegation. We smashed Leeds 6-0, and had a nice FA Cup run falling one game shy of a trip to Wembley(and a Steel City derby). We need to keep it going though, Brighton today, Watford Saturday both at Hillsborough followed by trips to Leicester City and Forest will be stern tests.Comment

Final game of the season, barring play-offs. I'm off to Crawley this morning to watch the mighty Bristol City one last time before we part over the summer.Comment

- What was the fancy dress like?
- How did you think you did? Would have thought you guys would have made the playoffs.
- On that point, who do you think will come up? I think a lot of Leeds fans want Preston up, purely because of Simon Grayson.Comment

Re: Official 2013-14 Football League Thread
With our budget/size of the club, we should be making the playoffs. Under Sean O'Driscoll we had lots of possession but rarely did anything with it, whereas under Steve Cotterill we've been slightly more direct (but still playing on the floor thankfully). I think we'd have survived under SOD, but not as comfortably as we did under Cotterill. I liked SOD, but I think he tried to change too much too fast and breed to many young players. Cotterill has brought in a few experienced heads such as Nyron Nosworthy and Wade Elliott to steady the ship, and of course Sam Baldock has continued to score goals.
I'd like to see Leyton Orient go up, but I'd imagine they'd come straight back down like Yeovil did. As long as it's not Peterborough, I'll be happy either way.Comment

Re: Official 2013-14 Football League Thread
Fancy dress isn't really my scene, I'm a constant jacket and jeans kind of guy, but the inflatable scene was impressive. Fair play to the Crawley stewards who kept throwing our inflatables back into the crowd when we knocked them onto th pitch, which was easily done on the shallow terrace we were in. Helped keep our party going, it was 90 minutes of being mental and celebrating the relegation of Bristol Rovers, good times.

I think Wolves were pretty much guaranteed to go up, that'd be a disaster if the didn't. I don't want Rotherham to come up. I've had enough of Yorkshire teams seeing us as their cup final. Which is why I'm delighted Barnsley went down, we actually beat them at Oakwell this year and we normally get hammered!
I don't even know what to think of Leeds, in regards to this and next season. Keep McCormack at all costs and that's about it.Comment

Am I the only one here that has no interest in Derby County back in the EPL? #bloodbath
I think I still have my shirt that said: I scored on Derby County in the 2007-2008 seasonLast edited by cdawg44; 05-05-2014, 04:57 PM."If you have a linebacker on him, you might as well start singing their fight song." -- WSU coach Bill Doba on Reggie Bush

I'm sorry, but there is no excuse for the FA to allow squads like Pompey and Leeds to be so dysfunctional like they are. It's truly sad to see Pompey, who was a FA Cup winner 5 years ago to be almost in the Conference and Leeds, with probably a top 5-10 fan base in England go through this crap"If you have a linebacker on him, you might as well start singing their fight song." -- WSU coach Bill Doba on Reggie Bush

In their defense, they did get promoted within the first year of a five year promotion plan because they lucked out in the pray-offs.Comment

I realise I'm going a bit off topic, but for me, Leeds isn't a Soccer city again. Pre-1960s it was a Rugby League city (which is actually my favourite sport, the team average is about 15/16k) and I'd probably say that again. If we're not in the Premiership in the next 10 years, our attendances will be averaging below 20k.Comment

Re: Official 2013-14 Football League Thread
Hell yeah. One of the worst sides I've ever seen in top flight football. Hilarious that their only win that year was at St. James' Park. Heck, I think Dirk Kuyt got a hat trick on them too.Last edited by cdawg44; 05-07-2014, 04:24 PM."If you have a linebacker on him, you might as well start singing their fight song." -- WSU coach Bill Doba on Reggie Bush

Yeah, but they got a 30-40 million pound windfall and didn't sign anyone. It was like they were doing it on purpose"If you have a linebacker on him, you might as well start singing their fight song." -- WSU coach Bill Doba on Reggie Bush

Re: Official 2013-14 Football League Thread
This is always something that's said about us, which is probably true. But there is something peculiar going on in Leeds in terms of support at the moment. The majority of our support is not from the city itself, but from out of town, which I'd contribute to our years as a 'big' club.
