Re: The 2014-15 EPL Discussion Thread
I know I'm going to get backlash, I don't really care. It's not like I'm forcing any of you to switch teams. I just wanted to have a favorite team I actually enjoy watching instead of liking a team because my friends do.
I said bad transfer because the staff pretty much denied getting a new striker which should be the number 2 focus.INACTIVEComment

Re: The 2014-15 EPL Discussion Thread
I don't know if I can cheer for Arsenal this season. I always rooted for them because that's the club my friends liked and the club I grew up with but I'm super frustrated with bad transfers and the fact that I don't really like the players except for Santi and Szczesny and the lack of having a big superstar like Chelsea or City or Liverpool.
Plus I'm frustrated about non sports stuff lately and it's been making cheering for Arsenal even more frustrating.
I'll either find another big four club or not watch English football at all this season I guess. If anyone wants to sell me on liking either Chelsea or Liverpool then that's fine too, those are the two teams I've been looking at.Comment

I'm comfortable with Joel Campbell as our second striker, would I like a World Class Striker? Sure, but I'd also like to have depth.Support Local Sports

Watching Spurs new attack plan has made me really excited for the upcoming season. Really enjoy watching them push hard upfront and try creating chances instead of just sitting back. Then again, this is against MLS teams, hopefully EPL team's don't counterattack every time.Current careers:

We got Campbell and Sanchez, they can both play CF. Sure we could use a true CF. But we have a lack of depth when it comes to the CB position. GK, CB and DM should be solved first. After that, Arsene can look to buy a new striker.Comment

That something a Duke fan would do.
Besides, Arsenal has options at foward. They don't need to bring another striker in unless the fit is perfect.Comment

Re: The 2014-15 EPL Discussion Thread
Obviously anything can happen in soccer, but the odds of two seasons in a row like the one we just had is incredibly low.
I'd love to be proven wrong because it was wildly entertaining, but I guess I'm just a bit of a pessimist.Comment

XXstormmXX, if I may be so forward...
I think you should figure out on your own what team to root for. Don't do it just because of success, don't do it because someone on a forum sold you on it.
Me, for example. I am new to soccer/football. I don't have an EPL team, so I'm just going to try watching matches as a neutral. With other leagues (Bundesliga and Hyundai A-League) I'm going with some sort of tie to the club. I live in Brisbane, so Brisbane Roar are the local team, boom. Easy. Bundesliga, I was born in Stuttgart. Boom, VfB Stuttgart.
I mean, if you want to root for one of the big four clubs, then I'd recommend doing more than just looking at a roster, because from what I gather, rosters turnover a fair bit, so your reason for liking X or Y might leave to another club, and then you'll be making another post next season.

Re: The 2014-15 EPL Discussion Thread
That is what I did, I looked at more then the rosters and the what the team was like right now, even though I do really like Eden Hazard.
I looked at history, managers, stadium, fans, kit, pretty much everything, and I liked Chelsea more then Liverpool and Arsenal. I've never been to the U.K or have family from there so I don't have any personal ties to teams in the EPL, and I wanted a team that would be able to spend on the really big name players and that basically left me with Chelsea and United, and I won't support United.INACTIVEComment
