Tbf the dip on the shot was pretty hard to predict, I honestly don't think Hart would have expected it. Although I do agree Hart looks like a better keeper than Caballero so who knows.

I'm not sure if Hart would've been as far off his line. Caballero seemed strangely far off, if I recall.

But, it was still a fantastic shot.

I thought that took a deflection that put some weird spin on it, but I didn't watch any more replays other than what they showed on the broadcast.

Yeah, there was definitely a deflection, otherwise I think it was right at Caballero. Doesn't relieve the keeper from blame, though, as he came too far out and could have saved if he was positioned properly.

It's nice that the current English League Champions without a Single English Player lost. Cannot wait for next week.

Were any of them first-choice XI? And out of those 3, only Milner looks like staying.

And yes, I know Joe Hart starts 8/10 times. It's just quite ridiculous how only 1 English guy represents the English League champions.

Well, considering how absolute **** English talent is right now, it seems about right.

Yeah, that same English talent that were champions in 2013. Or even as much as it pains me to say it, almost winners Liverpool. I'm not English, but I support United's ethos in making sure ENGLISH players (along with their academy trained players, wherever they may come from) represent the club. Will City do that down the line? These are English clubs, after all.

Give me the Tyler Blacketts, Michael Keanes, Will Keanes, Reece James, James Wilsons and give them a fair shot. At the end of the day, the spine of a football club should be formed by local players who know the meaning of playing for the badge.

And Atletico Madrid had how much?? Barcelona? We all know Real Madrid will forever operate with the Galactico model. I have Madrid friends who'd actually like them to see RM promote from within and actually stick with their youth talent, but they usually end up flourishing elsewhere.

My point simply is this -- it's a bit of a shame when a league champion doesn't boast more local talent than foreign ones.

I really don't care at all where the players come from.

It's a world game. If Citeh wants to buy a billion and four players from other countries, good on them. At the end of the day I just want to watch as many of the best players as this league can get. That's why I hate when the EPL loses a Bale or even a Suarez.

But as far as the EPL needing English players on its champion? I feel like that's draconian 1960's thinking. The game has changed, it's modernized, and it's global. A club like City reflects that.

And further, you can't just shrug off the "English players are largely **** at the moment" argument. It's very real, and I don't blame City for not playing ****ty English players just to do it.

Agree to disagree. City can do as it wants, it has all the billions in the world to gobble up players from Earth and outer space. I'm all for having more great players in the EPL, but that doesn't mean I'd want my club to be purely made up of players who aren't even from the country the club is based at. There's a reason why club football is so passionate in England.

And it's really not a draconian view when I see clubs like Barcelona, Bayern (who actually foster their own youth and buy all the Germans they can get), & United achieve success by bringing local talent through. Arsenal are doing it. Liverpool (aka Southampton FC) is. And England as a whole will be better off in the future.

My bro will be in London for a couple months for work. He was asking me what the best way to get tickets to a game would be, how much they cost, etc. He's not necessarily a fan of club soccer but he definitely wants to take in a game or two.

Any help or tips much appreciated.

The easiest way to an Arsenal game is to become a Red Member, Red membership will cost him about £36. Then he gets access to tickets for games. He can also go the other route and buy from a third party site which will generally be more expensive and not always 100% reliable. So, his best bet is to become a member of any team in London and get tickets that way.
