One of the best rivalry in all of England, IMO.

I miss the Villa-Birmingham games so much. I loved making fun of the Blues...until we hired their ****ing manager.

*** **** it, Lerner, sell the damn team.

Another massive rivalry is the East Lancashire derby between Burnley and Blackburn Rovers.

This might be a stupid question but I have never been to the other side of the "pond" so I am not sure what it's like. But how close is the move Green Street Hooligans to how it actually is at games? Are fans really that mean to each other?

It's really calmed down since Heysel and Hillsborough. The chanting is similar, but the fighting has really been clamped down on. The only place I'd be scared as a Gooner to go to would be Italy and Donestsk because the Ultras there are a little off and I really don't think the cops their are as proactive to handle stuff like that. Plus the Racism in Italy and parts of Eastern Europe and parts of the Balkans is way out of control. Besides that, the Home Office even spies on known Hooligans and breaks up potential fights at pubs, neighborhoods and other off site locations if you are in the UK.

Also if you wear a kit or a scarf or any club gear to the game, your are pretty much off limits to "true hooligans".

                    Thank God.

I'm tired of watching EPL games and constantly waiting for the ball to be put in play because the wall keeps bitching it up by inching closer. Then we have the ref tell them off, rinse and repeat.

I'm curious what you mean by this.

I'm planning on watching a match live in the UK within the next two years (home and away) and I've always wondered how opposing fans are treated if they're not able to watch in the away section but are seated elsewhere.

You are badgered some at any away match, but guys who are hooligans and people you should really be afraid of don't jack with regular joes typically in England like they might if you travel away to an Champions League game. Those guys know who they are looking for and they have a particular way they dress to set themselves apart from normal fans. If it's an away match at a main rival or against teams we all know who have trouble you will get escorted by the police from the train or bus station to the ground just to be sure. The Home Office has this stuff down to a science. I felt safer at an away match at West Ham than I do when I ride down the street to NC State during basketball season.

State basketball fans are harmless. I doubt their students even remember they have a basketball team.

Plus I'm frustrated about non sports stuff lately and it's been making cheering for Arsenal even more frustrating.

I'll either find another big four club or not watch English football at all this season I guess. If anyone wants to sell me on liking either Chelsea or Liverpool then that's fine too, those are the two teams I've been looking at.
