LOL that offside call on Vertonghen in the Spurs game. I think that may be the worst offside call I've ever seenComment

Re: The 2014-15 EPL Discussion Thread
I mean, can't we find linesmen that know basic rules? The referee too. He doesn't have to give the call.
I saw one called like that in an NASL match in Minnesota, but this is the EPL FFS.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 01-18-2015, 01:04 AM.Comment

Re: The 2014-15 EPL Discussion Thread
Is it possible to just have Sian as the linesman EVERY game?
It is crazy that there is such a massive gulf in performance between her and every other RA in the league. You have Sian, who because she has breasts can't make any mistakes or she will get crucified, and she responds to this pressure by literally never missing a call ever. Then you have, seemingly, every other RA, who are all dudes, apparently paid to just hang out on the sidelines and wave a flag at random times.
The refereeing is honestly shocking this season.Comment

Kevin Mirallas took a penalty in the 44th instead of Baines, completely missed the net, and was subbed off at the half.
Match ended 0-0.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 01-19-2015, 05:03 PM.Comment

Yeah, it was a total dick move as well. Lukaku and Naismith were pleading with him to let Leighton Baines take it too. Would have loved to been a fly on the wall in the dressing room."If you have a linebacker on him, you might as well start singing their fight song." -- WSU coach Bill Doba on Reggie Bush

So Man City was playing a friendly in Abu Dhabi (because $$$$$) with Hamburg, who are on break, and Frank Lampard got himself injured in warmups. Ruh roh.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 01-21-2015, 02:45 PM.Comment

Re: The 2014-15 EPL Discussion Thread
Hey guys, I picked up soccer this year and I'm loving every minute so far. Quick question, what's better? Winning the Premier League or the FA Cup?
I've heard of the Premier League before, but never the FA Cup until this season. Is it just winning the FA Cup gives you more bragging rights since you are technically the best team in England?
Thanks in advance!Comment
