Re: The 2015-2016 EPL Discussion Thread
We deserved to lose that game, think people are starting to see it wasn't ALL jose's fault now.
Also, how on earth does Herrera even stay on the pitch, let alone end the game with 0 yellow cards. Atkinson is an absolute clown, so many blown calls. I think Mikel/Schweinsteiger/Schneiderlin/Hazard all combined for about 6 fouls the entire game and all were on yellows, while Herrera should have been sent off before half time, and Pedro was lucky to be on the field in the second half.
Actually, if you go back and watch Schweinsteiger commit his single foul and booking of the game, you can see Herrera grabbing somebody's legs and pulling them to the ground.
Aside from the fact that Herrera should have unquestionably been sent off (and probably Rooney and Pedro as well), United fans should feel a bit hard done by that result. The woodwork, Courtois being amazing and inept refereeing are the only reasons that wasn't a comfortable 2/3-0 win for them.
Maybe Jose was right, and he DID make these players look better than they are. Hard to believe this team walked the league last season.
We are genuinely awful.Comment

No blown offside call will ever top Vertonghen getting called offside despite being a good 7 yards inside his own halfComment

Re: The 2015-2016 EPL Discussion Thread
logging in just to say how pitiful United/Chelsea was...
just...awful.
United is a long way off...Martial looked all but incapable of making good decisions when in possession on the wing. Rooney? Not a 10, not a 9...it was noted more than once that Chelsea didn't have a traditional forward in the squad, but it hardly seemed United did, either. (edit: i watched nearly the entire match, but can't recall seeing Herrera's antics...)
Chelsea was shockingly...decadent? I don't know...Pedro looked like a little B the entire match, the set pieces (of which there were a few) did not seem inspired. Somehow, I still expected them to steal one and walk away with 3 points.
Painful to watch, altogether. De Gea and Courtois seemed to be the only ones that showed up.Last edited by fugazi; 12-29-2015, 02:40 AM.Australian Rules Football...just sayin'Comment

As for Herrera:
He was doing stuff like this the entire game. It's funny, if you can find a replay of the single foul Schweinsteiger committed that he got booked for, you can see Herrera grabbing somebody's legs (it was either Oscar or Pedro) while falling down and just straight up pulling them to the ground with his hands.Comment
