Big result today at home. Now knowing us we will more than likely follow it up with a loss at Sunderland.

Not having a winter break plays a big role in why the PL always gets the best TV deals. Being the only major soccer league broadcasted while everyone is at home for the holidays ready to watch some games, is incredibly profitable.Comment

I think 2 days is a big ask, but I agree that it's fantastic that we get to watch games over the holidays. I enjoyed watching my brother curse and swear as Arsenal got hammered. Dreams do come true.
Another poor performance from United and I think LVG will resign before he gets sacked from his press conference after the game. He looks finished. I still think he's a good manager, but for how he wants the team to play, he does't have the talent.
Like Perceptor said, the money United invested in were players who aren't the finished article. It's clear that Depay and Martial have talent, but as youngsters, they won't be the most consistent and patience is needed. Lots of money spent doesn't necessarily mean instant results.
When Beckham left for Madrid, United went through a some retooling. They signed Ronaldo and people wondered whether he'd become a good player. He struggled adjusting to the Premier League and faced doubts about how good he could be. I'm not saying Martial or Depay will become Ronaldo, but they need to be mentored and developed.
Onto Spurs - I don't want to continue to hype Dele Alli, but he's going to be a special player under Poch. He's not even 20 yet and he's playing so so well.Last edited by CR7; 12-27-2015, 11:11 AM.Comment

I think you meant Martial or Depay.
Memphis and Depay are the same person.Comment

Oh I understand why they do it, I'm just saying that a 2 day break is asking a lot of players, regardless of the league they play in. I always thought they should use this time to play Cup matches where squad rotation is more likely to happen.Comment

Game over for LVG? Why is he absent from today's team training?
Please don't go! All the fans want you to stay! We just love sideways static football. The team is also near the top, stick to the plan!
