Re: The 2015-2016 EPL Discussion Thread
So it looks like there will be a crazy game of manager musical chairs at the end of this season, with Pep/Jose/Carlo and possibly even Simeone up for grabs.
So many top managers to choose from, who will end up at Chelsea?
Hahaha, just kidding. It will be Avram Grant.Comment

In light of the events at Chelsea, here's a throw-back Thursday to the most deluded fan of all time claiming Chelsea have outgrown the EPL. I wonder what he thinks now?

Re: The 2015-2016 EPL Discussion Thread
I was reading a lot of opinions and Mourinho was getting a lot of the blame. I agree that the Eva Carneiro fiasco was handled horribly and snowballed. But it's pretty hard to do the job if players like Hazard, Costa, Matic, and Cesc suddenly forgot they were good players. I actually like Simeone as a hire for Chelsea. You gotta respect what he's done at Atletico competing with a much smaller budget.Comment

It's 2 out of 2 for Leicester now. Monk and Special One. Sounds like a great RPG. Anyone with a "Wizard" nickname next?Comment

Re: The 2015-2016 EPL Discussion Thread
I think I'm going to do my premier league fixture result predictions now.
Stoke vs Palace- Can the Eagles pull out a win at the Brittania? I honestly think this'll be a draw
West Brom vs Bournemouth- I'm giving Bournemouth the benefit of the doubt on this one after beating United.
Everton vs Leicester- Leicester has had a remarkable season so far and I think Leicester should be able to pull a win off at goodison park.
Man U vs Norwich- I'm going with Man U on this one
Chelsea vs Sunderland- Chelsea should win this but that doesn't mean they will.
Southampton vs Tottenham- Draw
Newcastle vs Villa- Who wins the battle of the relegation battle teams? I'd say Newcastle but sooner or later Villa may go on a hot streak so you never know.
Watford vs Liverpool- This ones a tough one, but I'm going to go with Liverpool on this one.
Swansea vs West Ham- West Ham should win this comfortably.
Arsenal vs Man City- Match of the Week in my opinion. 2nd vs 3rd, 2 weeks before the halfway mark in the season. Who wins this top table clash? I want the gunners to win(I despise City) but I think this'll end in a draw.

Tottenham should be able to put away Southampton pretty easily seeing as Soton hasn't come even close to their form of last year.
So yeah, Tottenham will draw or lose that game for sureComment

"Sources tell ESPN FC..."
I'm just saying that ESPN FC will repost **** from the absolute worst places for transfer rumors and make it look like they are reporting news.
It would be funny to see though, the "United Way" set will have to perform some fun mental gymnastics to rid themselves of the cognitive dissonance he will cause.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 12-18-2015, 05:11 PM.Comment

Re: The 2015-2016 EPL Discussion Thread
Jose would go against City's current philosophy on the style of soccer they want to play (which is why the Simeone to City rumors are complete BS). City will go in hard for Pep or Carlo if they are going to get rid of Pelligrini.
United will probably go in hard for Pep too, although my good buddy (lifelong United fan from a family of United fans) seems to think their board is 100% dead set on making Giggs their next manager, and would legitimately pass up on Jose.
Also need to keep in mind how badly Rafa is doing at RM, Jose has always said he wouldn't mind going back there one day, and if Rafa keeps doing this poorly, Madrid will be in the market for a new manager soon too.
All I know is Chelsea will almost certainly end up with a sub part manager after all the dust has settled.Comment

But don't take their word for it. Google "Jose Mourinho Manchester United" and see the dozens of articles that have popped up in the last 5 hours for yourself. Maybe one of those sources is good enough for you.Comment

Ehh, ALL transfer rumors are just that - rumors. ESPN FC is fairly accurate with the news they put out, in my experience.

Anyway, we'll see, I've also seen stuff that he'll be back at Madrid. It's all a bit crazy right now as usual in soccer media.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 12-18-2015, 08:56 PM.Comment
