    Disappointing. What a disastrous turnaround.

I've mostly been a lurker in this thread but wanted to say something quick regarding the Mourinho firing. I'm a huge Chelsea fan and I'm sad to see Mourniho go. Being a bad manager wasn't what got him fired IMO I think it was the fact that he had clearly lost the dressing room months ago and the players simply didn't care for him anymore. Roman had to do something before the January transfer window. With Jose still in charge I don't think any top player would've signed with Chelsea.

I'm interested to see who they hire as a new manager whether on a interim or full time basis.

Don't worry, if Hiddink replaces him things we'll get even worse. I can't even imagine Costa and Hiddink in the same room...

We will almost certainly end up regretting this in the long run.

That being said, Hiddink has the highest win percentage of any Chelsea manager with more than 10 games, and Chelsea has an actually impressive record with our intermediate managers. Each Chelsea intermediate manager has won a trophy.

Hiddink had one bad stint with Holland, but he's a fantastic coach.

Man at least they didn't hire Juande Ramos. Almost spit out my coffee when I read that rumor. Guus is a damn good coach. Dumpster fire with the Dutch National team, but there are a lot of other issues there besides bad management.

Yes, exactly the same issues Chelsea has right now. Some players should leave this transfer window or else Hiddink will have bigger problems in the locker room than Mourinho.
So Abramovic will repeat the Mourinho->Hiddink->Ancelotti managers sequence? This is ridiculous!

We will be heavily linked to Pep and Carlo, and likely get neither of them.

Hiddink will do well, we probably should have gotten Brendan but Hiddink will get the job done. I'm just not sure who we will end up with next season.

It will be interesting to see how the players end up playing now. If they are still indifferent on the pitch, or if they start to show any interest in acting like they care about winning a match.

I think we can probably place an equal amount of blame on the players as Jose. It will be interesting if we ever find out what was going on behind the scenes.

Like I said, we will probably be fine because we have a history of performing well with intern managers. I'd have rather seen Rodgers but Hiddink is a great intern appointment.

You would really like Rodgers? He completely lost the locker room the 2nd half of last season, never regained it, and continuously spouts BS (have you seen Being Liverpool?). He's not the guy to come into a broken locker room and fix it.

For all the times David Moyes got made fun of because even he kept the job until he was out of the UCL race.

Seriously, I'm surprised Jose is getting let go. Yes, they're in a relegation battle and odds of making the top 4 are slim but they're still in the Champions League and have a shot at other trophies. So much for backing your most successful manager in the Abramovich era (no idea about pre oil money).

Edit: Please don't let this be another 2012 scenario wherein their season is saved because of a ****ing miracle run in the Champions League.

Also, can we all just sit back and appreciate that it was Ranieri that was the straw that broke the camel's back? Just fantastic.
